Everyone seemed to enjoy the piano led trio of Dave Ferris a few weeks ago, so I thought another piano trio would be a good idea. This time we have the wonderful Toby Boalch, joined by drummer Euan Palmer and myself on bass as usual. Both guests are really as good as it gets and we're playing some of our favourite tunes. We’ve had the pleasure of presenting Immy Churchill on a couple of occasions in the past and audiences have each time called for her return. This time she brings regular collaborator Scottie Thompson on piano and host Asaph Tal joins on double bass. Expect her typically varied choice of material and considered arrangements.

So pleased to be playing a concert at Cranfield parish church to raise money for . We’re playing in memory of Ian Williams, but all are welcome, whether you knew Ian or not. This will be a special evening, with the instrumentation chosen to make the best of the beautiful acoustics of the church: vocalist Lucy-Anne Daniels, guitarist Torin Davies and myself on double bass.

On the 25th Feb we’re having an evening of classic piano trio. Dave Ferris is a London-based pianist, active both as a bandleader and sideman, and characterised by his imaginative and fluid playing: forward looking but firmly rooted in tradition. Joining him is Euan Palmer, a sensitive and thoughtful player who lifts each of the groups he works with with his buoyant beat, and strong musical personality. Asaph Tal hosts as usual.
