Coventry Building Society Arena is experiencing its fifth successive year of major investment as it continues to drive growth and create the best possible experience for visitors.

Moving into 2023, further investment was made in the venue’s entrance and main atrium, while the boardroom was redesigned, event organiser offices upgrade and the stadium concourse was redesigned with new and refurbished food and drink kiosks.

Thousands of Pokémon cards and rare collectables will be up for grabs when one of the UK’s biggest one-day trading card shows comes to Coventry for the very first time.

Cardmania XL will bring more than 300 of the country’s biggest trading card vendors under one roof at Coventry Building Society Arena.
This super-sized edition of Cardmania will take place from 9.30am to 4pm on Saturday, November 7th.

Coventry Building Society Arena is experiencing its fifth successive year of major investment as it continues to drive growth and create the best possible experience for visitors

The leading venue for business, live entertainment and sport has been transformed since 2022, with more than £15 million of investment across its event and hospitality spaces, the introduction of new systems and the establishment of partnership.

In 2022, as the venue emerged from the pandemic, transforming its lower halls into the £6.3 million Commonwealth Convention Centre.
This saw the creation of more than 1,750 sqm of additional conference space, installation of new digital signage and a new south pavilion entrance. This project also saw the refurbishment of the venue’s main 6,000 sqm exhibition hall.

Comedian and musician Bill Bailey will be coming to Coventry next month as he headlines Coventry Building Society Arena.
The countdown is on to his show on Friday, November 13, which forms part of a major UK and Ireland arena tour.

His new show Vaudevillean, which will be held in the Indoor Arena at the venue, is set to take the audience back to the golden age of entertainment with Bill’s unique take on vaudeville.
The show celebrates that tradition and showcases the multi-instrumental, multi-lingual humour and musical talent that have made Bailey a household name.

A pair of life-saving defibrillators have been installed at Coventry Building Society Arena, marking the 400th installed by a Coventry and Warwickshire charity.

The milestone 400th device was unveiled by OurJay Foundation trustees outside the North stand, with the second AED installed near the away end.

OurJay Foundation was formed in memory of Rugby teenager Jamie Rees, who died following a cardiac arrest in 2022.

Conferences, exhibitions and meetings held at Coventry Building Society Arena can now include immersive racing following further investment in the venue’s business events offer.

The Race Experience – which allows visitors to take on world famous virtual racing circuit in a simulator - has been added to the range of spaces and experiences available to event organisers at the Arena.

It can be incorporated into events of all scales, from small meetings and private staff events to major conferences and exhibitions welcoming thousands of delegates.

The Race Experience has been introduced as organisers seek to develop a wider and more diverse delegate experience, with events increasingly including informal networking, team building and social activities alongside their main programmes.

A new sports bar combining live sport with an immersive racing experience has opened its doors at Coventry Building Society Arena.

The Race Experience is located alongside the new flagship The COV Store at the arena but operates as a standalone venue outside of matchdays.

The bar will show Grand Prix weekends, Premier League matches, major NFL fixtures and other live sport and is being opened up for private hire for birthdays, celebrations and group nights out.
It is open seven days a week and work is being completed to give the bar its own dedicated entrance at Coventry Building Society Arena.
