The Corner Pocket is back Tuesday 9th June at 8pm and the good news is... you're all invited!
We are delighted to welcome back Liam Brennan, an excellent musician/composer who has been classically trained at the Birmingham conservatoire.
Liam is joined by ABACUS, a chord-less sextet, featuring musicians from London and Birmingham.
The idea for the group was formed back in 2018 after listening to Omer Avital’s Asking No Permission which featured a 4-horn frontline. The music aims to combine music from the small group and Big Band tradition. They have recently recorded in August last year.
As ever, you are all welcome to come along and enjoy a night of great live music with tickets available at the door priced £10 with half price for students and U25s. And this is the Corner Pocket line up for the rest of 2026

Great live jazz tomorrow night(12th May) @ the Corner Pocket with the superb Alex Clarke Quartet. Tickets for £10 are available on the door. Starts at 8 pm, ends around 10.15. All welcome.

The Corner Pocket returns on Tuesday 12th May at 8pm with live jazz from Alex Clarke as part of her own marvellous Quartet.
Alex recently released an exciting new collection entitled Out Of The Woods which showcases her take on the music of one her greatest influences, legendary jazz saxophonist Phil Woods.
Alex's quartet is comprised of superb multi-award winning musicians with David Newton on piano, Steve Brown at the drums and Dave Green on bass.
All are welcome to come along and enjoy an evening of top quality live jazz with tickets available at the door priced £10 with half price for students and U25s. Plenty of free parking and a licensed bar. No membership requirements.
