Our adult classes are back in September! We are very much looking forward to dancing with you all soon. We start back on Monday, 14th September.
-Adult Contemporary Dance, Mondays 5:45-7pm at The Albany Theatre
-Adult Ballet, Mondays 10-11am at Mocha Lounge

This is what Arlie’s dance session looked like today. Arlie loves to set the space. This was his boat (with a bedroom to shelter). We explored the sea and found a couple of jellyfish. We ended with a celebration dance for the boat! We facilitate the ideas that the dancers have. This empowers them and builds communication, confidence and teamwork. 💗🌊🪼☀️⚓️🚢🛶🛥️🚣🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️

What does dance look like Ladybug Lodge? It’s hard to describe as it is often bespoke for the children that book a session (especially the 1-1 sessions). This is what some of Rosie’s dance session look like. I’m so pleased Rosie’s mum captured these moments. I’m always so caught up in what I’m doing, and it’s so lovely to see the connection from the outside looking in. As you can see Rosie (and I) had a fun time. ☺️😃🤩

Week 1 done Ladybug Lodge ✅. I don’t have any pictures to show, but I do know that we danced our socks off (and our hearts out). We have seen familiar faces and lots of new faces too. Thank you for dancing this week, we have the best job in the world ❤️🤩🙏💃🕺👯

Suzanne and I took part in some dance with Parkinson’s training yesterday. The focus was based on creative sourcing and structure for your classes. It was wonderful to be in the room with a vast array of other practitioners and deliverers of DWP classes. To feel part of a much bigger picture and to also have some input (we are a little depleted with energy and ideas at this point in the year 😆)
David Leventhal is inspiring. I took part in training with him in 2017 when my ideas were merely a pipe dream. To now have two groups that make the most of every session and that have built a sense of community and belonging is truly the dream. Thank you People Dancing for offering fantastic training opportunities. It is always a treat to see Yael Owen and Mark Anderson 🙌🙏

And the gifts keep coming! I’m very grateful to feel so appreciated and welcome at Coten End, Myton Gardens and Oakley Primary Schools in Warwickshire. From curriculum dance, SEND dance, and performing at The Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, I’ve felt their support and belief in the work that we do. Thank you and Cheers!🙏🏻🥂
