Ok so this September we are celebrating 30 years of Shelly Academy of Dance 💙

30 years of teaching,30 years of memories and 30 years of having the pleasure of knowing and growing with so many lovely children and families!

As part of our celebrations I would like to look back on those years and would love it if any of you could send me some photos,memorabilia,videos even of your years at Shelly Academy of Dance. I’m hoping to go right back to when we started in 1996. The older the better! 😊 anything at all would be lovely to see.

So if you have any old photos lying around (I don’t think we had mobile phones back then!) please send them to me either by messenger on here or to my own number if you have it

5 days until we are back 💙💙

I’m looking forward to seeing you all and getting stuck in to the new term!
We have our show in December so it’s time to lock in and work hard 😊

Here’s a checklist of uniform if anyone needs to replace items for the new term.
Correct uniform and smart and appropriate hair is essential for dancing your best! 😊

Proud teacher moment 💙

During the holidays Isabella and Matilda both took part in an audition workshop class to join an associate program where they get to take classes with professionals from the Dance industry.
It was a tough class against girls of all ages from across the region and both girls were commended for their efforts. Isabella was offered a place on the associate program and will start her training next year.
Well done to both girls 💙very proud of you x

After a very busy few months we are now closed for our summer break 😊
Have a lovely time with your families. Time to rest and recharge and I will see you all for the new term from Tuesday September 1st xx

Another lovely afternoon celebrating 30 years of Shelly Academy 💙this time with some of our Junior Bs,Inters and Senior girls and families.
We had a great time Paddle boarding followed by a picnic and a game of Rounders 🥰

The girls danced beautifully bringing energy and sass to the stage! 🥰

On Sunday our competition team took part in the FSD festival and what a great day we had!

Every age group danced their hearts out and showed growth in their technique and performance. For some girls it was their very first festival which I thought they took in their stride and did themselves and me proud!

It was a very busy day with lots of dances back to back (hence why I didn’t manage to get many photos!) but each and every dancer gave it their all and made me very proud!

We currently have a few spaces in our Beginners Acrobatics class and this is the perfect time to join in time for our show in December!
