When doing garden work becomes treasure hunting becomes feeling inspired becomes craft time!!

I found so many pieces of cute pottery bits while doing the garden recently that I knew would be so cute as mosaic pieces.

Having no clue but being a hobby w***e I decided to try yet another new hobby.

I think it came out cute even though I'm sure there was a million things I did wrong and would do better next time. Ive come to realise as a former child sticker saver that life is all about having a go. Trial and error. Learning as you go. And having fun while doing!

So anyone putting off a craft incase of a mistake, not starting something creative or saving a sticker as its to nice to use somewhere you later regret. I urge you to do it, it will be worth it in the end. There's always more stickers!!

Spent the day moving dirt, filling beds building a pond, cutting the lawn, planting flowers, filling the green waste bin, cutting back ivy, removing weeds, and breaking my back. But with a LOT of help from Gary and fueld with cold is ready for the fun part of buying flowers!!! And trying to pursuade the other half to dig deep and buy me the garden sofa of my dreams.

The power of dogs is something that can never truly be encapsulated with mere words. Its something that is felt, deeply. It leaves an impression on your heart and is something that can not be replicated.

These two have not only encouraged me out getting my steps in but have also reminded me that sometimes its ok to slow down, rest and find somewhere comfortable to sit. That my mental and physcial health are interwoven and one can not be more important than the other.

Am getting ready for a short trip away and know i want to do more art. recently showed off her kit and i knew the pencil case she used would be perfect so instantly ordered my own. And I have filled my tiny palette but it got me wondering, what are your go to primaries for urban painting???

Also I recently started adding photos of cool buildings or cute cottages so if the weather is bad i can hide somewhere cozy and still have a go at working on my urban sketching. .comer

When your too hot and too poorly for much but want to do something creative a waterbrush and some paints are all you need.

I enjoyed doing this so much. I wonder what it will look like dry.

Home from work and straight out into the 🌞 practising sketchnotes with the book from called The art of visual Notetaking.

Its a great step by step book of getting to grips with the premise of drawing your notes and full of tips and ideas to help. Ive been 'forgetting' to journal so a new approach seemed like a great idea to get me back and sketchnotes combine my love of being creative with my passion for buying stationery supplies.
