I feel privileged to be taking part in a group creating a new "welcome to Coventry" sign for the station. We were all given a piece of fabric to create an embroidery based on Coventry. These will all be set in resin to form the letters of Coventry for the sign. This is my offering. Coventry's iconic three spires as a back drop to Coventry's industrial past . The ribbons represent the silk weaving industry and based on the shape of the Whittle arch, the car, bicycle and watch. All industries my family have worked in over the years. The watch is set at 7.10pm the time the first bomb was dropped on the night of the Coventry Blitz.
