From shipping container to studio. Ten years apart, both shots of Let’s Animate homes.
That first one a shipping container. Cold, cramped, a sauna in the summer, all held together with belief and dreams. The second the studio I always dreamed about, a space that’s flexible for everyone’s needs, welcoming, safe and a community.
I never sat down one day and planned this. I just kept saying yes. Yes to opportunity, yes to workshops, yes to awesome projects. Yes to the hard times when it would’ve been easier to stop. I just kept moving forward.
Ten years of graft, of doubting myself and doing it anyway, of building a business around being a mum. Tears, hurrays and lots of fun.
I’ve made it here. But here isn’t the finish line. It’s the next starting block.
There’s so much more to come. Bigger workshops, more facilitating, more discovering how stop motion animation can bring joy to kids and adults, more stories waiting to be told frame by frame.
This is just the beginning, the beginning of the next chapter of Let’s Animate, and I can’t wait to see what it brings!
