Little reminder about the age restrictions for the services I offer.
I’ve shared many times in detail about why there is a minimum age of 3yrs for Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos etc, so please scroll down to see the full details of that.
My Glitter Bar recommended minimum age is *7yrs and over only.
This is for the health & safety reasons explained below.
The Glitter Bar involves loose cosmetic glitter mixes being applied predominantly to the face and around the participants eyes.
Although there is only a very small risk of it happening, it is of course possible that glitter could drop off and fall or be rubbed in to the participants eye.
I always display a disclaimer at events explaining this and what to do if it should happen.
For this reason, participants need to possess a certain level of understanding, self awareness and control of their reactions if this should happen, so they would not automatically rub their eye.
I strictly only use cosmetic glitter (which is very different & much safer than craft glitter), however even this, if rubbed could potentially scratch an eye.
It is therefore essential that participating children & adults fully understand and are able to carry out instructions of what to do if a piece of glitter should go into their eye.
HIGHER RISK - The possibility of this happening is far more likely with a child than an adult as they tend to be more active at events, running around, bouncing on castles etc and are generally far more likely to touch, knock and/or rub their face/eyes than an older child or adult.
I appreciate younger children would love to have all the sparkles, but please understand I only have your child’s best interests at heart. My priority is that everyone enjoy my services and do so safely.
