Once Upon A Crime

The small town of Talebury is one of peace, where its townsfolk of storybook characters work together in harmony. However, the harmony is abruptly halted when the mayor is discovered murdered. There’s only one man for this case: Dr Henry Jekyll. With his sharp assistant Freya, Jekyll is ready to ask the questions and uncover the clues, but quickly learns that the people of Talebury are not as innocent as they seem. When sordid pasts and hidden betrayals are revealed, perhaps the most important question is: does the good doctor have the cunning and smarts to solve this case?

We recently welcomed Broadstreet back to EGO, where our Academy members collaborated with them to create a giant flower in a plant pot and build a drama piece around it.
They spent the morning painting all the different components of the giant flower, before bringing it to life in the afternoon by building scenes around it and demonstrating some great improvisation and physicality!

This August it’s time to Return To Wonderland with our friends Open Theatre Company.

Accessible family activity at The Albany Theatre this summer

Open Theatre's much-loved Return to Wonderland is coming to Coventry this August.
Created for young people and adults with learning disabilities and their families, this immersive experience includes an interactive workshop, a short performance and the chance to explore a magical Wonderland through creativity, play and sensory activities.
Sessions take place at The Albany Theatre on 10–13 August and 24–26 August.
