Summer Exhibition - Artist Spotlight:
Work of Joy (Sandy Archer)
Sandy Archer is a mixed media artist whose work captures the colour, light, and feeling of a place, and a moment in time.
Inspired by travel and everyday surroundings that often get overlooked. Sandy creates vibrant, expressive pieces that focus on the essence of a place rather than a literal representation.
Her work is rooted in a simple idea: life isn’t about getting it right, but about seeing it your way. Sandy adds detail and vibrancy to a place to bring a moment alive, so it’s impossible to forget, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and experience it differently.
Sandy also runs creative experiences that encourage people to see a place through their own eyes, colour it with their own views, and write their own story, capturing moments in a way that feels personal, meaningful, and real.
Sandy's work is located on the First Floor Central Gallery (by Cardiothoracic Critical Care) until September, and is available to purchase. a Donation of sales is made to Arts Fund.
