It is a privilege to be able to capture all these wonderful characters in my work, bringing joy and comfort to their human friends." Victoria cares deeply about the welfare of animals and enjoys being able give honour and value to them through a unique piece of Art. Her Pet Portrait business was launched in 2020, a time when the company and delight of animals has proven to be so important in many

of our lives. Victoria Barfield trained at Falmouth College of Arts in Cornwall and has exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in London and at an exclusive exhibition for HRH The Queen. She trained as an Art educator at Bath Spa University and has inspired young people and adults in a wide range of settings including teaching Art in Kenya, being Head of Art near Ascot UK, running workshops at 'Creation Fest' a Christian Creative Arts festival in Cornwall and supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties for Christian Charity TLG.

This place is absolute heaven for donkeys. Haylage and sunshine makes them so happy! I love this picture I got of oldie donkey Lettuce tucking into her breakfast.
The donkeys are beginning to trust me and come for scratches now. 🥰🌅🐴Today I learnt how to put on their coats and head collars, how to lead them down to the field, how to give a donkey an inhaler and how to clean out troughs. I'm also able to poo pick some of the barns alone whilst the Donkeys are in there, I love it when they get in the way and ask for attention!
If you still have some Christmas presents to get, how about adopting one of these donkeys from or order some food or tools from to support these gorgeous animals. 🥰

'Angel in the Mist' here to gracefully welcome the season with peace 🕊️

Sometimes I would see this beautiful angelic pure white egret silently swooping across bleak English winter countryside on my walks during lockdown. Every time, it felt so magical and I felt so privileged, like I'd seen an angel and a ray of hope.

I read these words this week, I thought they are beautiful to meditate on alongside this image:
'Instead of finishing the year strong, why don't we finish the year soft? Why don't we finish the year restful and grateful for making it through yet another crazy cycle on this earth' -

Choosing a photo for your pet portrait... I recommend things like:
- Close up photos (a lot of character is in your furry companions face, especially their eyes)
- Foreshortening in the photo (eg a nose or paw close to the camera looks fun)
- A photo you love that captures their personality or that brings back a memory.
- Don't worry about what is in the background, I won't include that, unless you want me to.
