Hi everyone , I decided not to run the summer art studio workshops after a tough year health wise I need some time out... but I will be at the Nuneaton Park life Reads warwickshire libraries event ( didnt the primary school do an amazing job making this illustration with me!?) There will be lots of activities from art , to shakespear music , craft and books , so please come along .

The new scheduale for AIA sessions eill be out soon, its mainly the same but a digital art session has been added .. most sessions 4 to 13 and gcse are fully booked ...but message me if you wanted a spot as i may be able to add another artist teacher and fit a couple more if needed :)

The etching press had its first use today with the 4 to 11s ! Collagraphs ! Look out for pictures next week ! As i forgot to take any !

I forgot to take the outcome pictures as usual! But today we used the press for the first time with the young groups aged 4 to 11 , making collagraphs .... we had cyanotype book marks ( utilising the sun ! ) and some progress/ work on dragons and mushrooms that turn into fantasy worlds.... A busy day ... not too hot in the studio thankfully !

I was running sessions today at the Together Festival at Himley Hall outside Wolverhampton , a festoval for the churches in the Black country , about 3000 people there so was a busy day ! . I was run off my feet, so I didn't get to take many pictures after these ones from the first hour or so, as it got too busy! Some lovely bags by all ages. Usually, we don’t run summer sessions… BUT as I keep being asked, we’re testing a few this year! 🎨

**Limited spaces available.**

There will be 4 summer creative days in total:

🎨 Pop Art portraits+ Mixed Media Day

🎁 Large Wooden Treasure Chest / Memory Box / Christmas Eve Box Day
Includes a wooden box worth £16.

👜 Tote Bag Painting with Slow Stitch, Embroidery & Appliqué Day
Poster coming soon!

🎨 Final session to be confirmed:
This will either be a Printmaking Day including cyanotype, Tetra Pak printing, CD etching, collagraph and gelli printing, or a Needle Felting Day in 2D/3D or onto a bag.

Some sessions are suitable from age 4 with an accompanying adult.
Others are age 6+.
Children aged 7+ can attend as unaccompanied young artists.

Sessions run 10am–3pm, with extended hours available by arrangement.

A third sibling discount is available, but siblings must be from the same household.

For most sessions, accompanying parents/carers can add on £9 to cover materials (box day is full price) if they would also like to create and make their own piece too.

Our mask-making project in the younger Home Ed art club has come to an end. I have been very impressed with some of the construction and problem-solving skills in engineering in the mini-artists, ages 3 to 10 ish . Well done all!

* textured paper or thin items / corregated , texured wall paper ..

for an art project with the kiddos .... if you have consumables in tetra packs, once washed can I have them? They usually have foil or shiny card inside .... also on the hunt for little boxes like oxo cube boxes etc ...... We are going to do some Tetra Pak etching and collagraphs with the younger ones

ALSO any thin textured bits and bobs we will gladly use ! Bubble wrap to card with ridges to orange / nectirine netting etc.....
