We were sadden to learn that one of the founding fathers of rock’n’roll, Jerry Lee Lewis, has died aged 87. Lewis, who helped change the world with rocking hits like Great Balls Of Fire and Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, was one of the most notorious and flamboyant of rockers from that golden era of groundbreaking music and, while some of his personal lifestyle choices will continue to raise eyebrows, he will be sadly missed. RIP Killer

We're sadden to learn that renowned jazz pianist, Ramsey Lewis, has died. Lewis, who passed on Monday at his Chicago home, was 87. He entertained fans for more than 60 years and, with his trio, was a pioneer of the jazz piano. During his career, Lewis performed with musical stars such as Aretha Franklin, Tony Bennett, Al Jarreau and Pat Metheney. Lewis had more than 80 albums to his credit — three dozen of them with Chicago-based Chess Records. RIP.

Trained as a classical pianist but was captivated by ‘50s folk Judy Collins got involved the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early ’60s along with Joan Baez and Bob Dylan. This collection of recordings, captures the singer at the beginning of a long and illustrious career.
Gospel group The Caravans were highly respected and influential during the ’50s and ’60s. Our 56-track set features traditional songs and spirituals along with originals written by the group. Heavenly.
Champ! is a substantial showcase which highlights the versatility of Champ Butler the ’50s pop sensation who maintained his recording career through the rock ‘n’ roll era.
Check out our 55-track compilation of music from Arthur Smith, the country guitarist, banjoist, composer turned radio and TV host who came to the fore with his big hit Guitar Boogie.
This 96-track Blossom Dearie collection celebrates a highly-regarded jazz pianist whose style and unique technique would influenced artists like Bill Evans
