And for the final card of the week I have turned to one of my favourite decks, The Mystic Dreamer. As with so many other cards, the figure is looking out to sea, waiting. However, here there are no ships. Our attention is drawn to the sea being pushed and pulled by the crescent moon overhead.
The lady has laid the groundwork for her plans and is waiting to find out the results. The presence of the moon indicates that much is unknown. She must trust her intuition and keep working towards her final goal. Trust in Spirit, you are connected.
Remember this week that 3 is the creative number. So continue to make the plans and create the results you want. If what you are trying to do does not excite you, then maybe it’s time to tweak your vision. Make sure you’re heading in the direction that’s right for you.

This thought-provoking card comes from the Tarot Therapy deck by Steve Hounsome. For Wands he has used the name Fire evoking the energy entailed in this suit.
As we know the 3 of Wands brings success in planned events and a need to push on, to continue to strive for additional opportunities. With the Flare we can see that these opportunities can suddenly and surprisingly appear. They may bring unexpected elements with them. Have you made allowances for the unexpected? Perhaps now is the time to do so and to review your plans.
Flares are unpredictable and do not last for long. Things will return to normal soon but make sure that you haven’t missed any opportunities during this exciting and challenging time.

Today I’m going to look at the 3 of Wands from two animal based decks. On the left is the Woodpecker from the Animal Totem deck and on the right a cat from the Mystical Cat deck.
The Woodpecker is here to show us that the opportunities are knocking for you but you may have to look around carefully to find which opportunity is right for you. Often you can hear a woodpecker but it is much more difficult to find where the noise is coming from. Perhaps there are three possibilities available to you - it is the 3 of Wands. Take care to find the right path.
The cat has seen or heard something and is about to leap for it. She is in the light but her target may not be easily spotted. She may have to leave her comfort zone to get what she wants. Perhaps you may have to take a leap of faith to take your success further. Trust your instincts but know in which direction you need to leap!

Today I’ve chosen the traditional Rider Waite on the left and the After Tarot on the right. The After Tarot gives a view of events a few minutes after the Rider Waite card.
Like yesterday we have someone looking out to sea, observing ships arriving (or are they going out to collect more?). This is your success, your reward for your efforts, but also a reminder to continue to strive because there is more to come. In the After Tarot the man releases a falcon. A feather is seen dropping. Feathers are commonly regarded as messages from Spirit - are you being sent a message? The falcon can soar into the sky and see much further ahead than we can on the ground. It emphasises that there is so much more to come in the future. Trust in yourself and your intuition.

I felt it was time for me to resume my card of the week post. On the first day I use my favourite deck, the Tarot Illuminati, and on the following days I look at the same card from other decks.
The card drawn today is the 3 of Wands. This is a card of success. Things you’ve been working on are about to bring in the hoped-for results. However, this is not a time to sit back. There’s so much more to come if you keep making an effort to create the future you want. Think big and keep your eyes open for opportunities coming in.

So wonderful to do a reading for a lovely lady yesterday. Things have been quieter than normal recently - I think, maybe, people have been too unnerved to want to look at future possibilities - but now, as we seem to be coming out it, there is more confidence in looking to the future. Beltane blessings to you all.
If we look back to our earlier history, this was a time for celebration. Gatherings around the bonfires and couples disappearing into the woods together!! It was the time for the sowing of seeds ( in all its meaning ) and the looking forward to fresh food and new life which would result from this time.
Although this year we aren’t going to be partying, we can still begin new things. Perhaps this is a time to start growing some food in your garden or it may just be the time to develop ideas, new and old. Nurture those seeds that you’ve had in your mind for a while but have not had the time to take any further.
However you look at it, Beltane is a time for positivity and growth. Enjoy the newness!
