Last but not least we welcome back Dawn Carroll, who will be joining us tomorrow with her ceramic sculptures.

Dawn has been sculpting for the last 10 years, and finds inspiration from the world around her.

Her charismatic Sculptures are interwoven with animals and insects and play on themes of human emotion particularly humour.

These unique sculptures are hand built with different types of clay to enhance the subject matter through texture and colour.

We are thrilled to welcome back Marian Hyland and her mesmerizing abstract paintings.

Marian interest is based on the relationships of space, shape and colour, created by the interplay between drawing, painting and collage. Her inspiration is varied but she is often drawn to textures and marks left behind through decay and neglect. She works intuitively to FIND rather than MAKE the image. She wants each piece to ‘surprise’ her and then hope the viewer will see a painting they can connect with in their own way, but that still retains some mystery and intrigue.

Marian was our best seller last year and will be back by popular demand. Have the opportunity to meet her paintings in the flesh on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th September.

We are very excited to have the lovely Alison Pink exhibiting with us this year.

If it walks, swims or flies, Alison is passionate about immortalising it in clay. She adds detail by imprinting texture using random items. These could be anything from lace, shells, braid, rubber stamping to just odd bits from ‘that drawer’ in the kitchen!

Her pieces can be personalised to include names, dates, interests, work-related detail or just fun stuff which may appeal to those who have ‘hard-to-buy-for’ friends!

Elaine McDermott is a new addition to our group, but she is not new to the world of jewellery, with 18 years of experience in the field.

She is a contemporary jewellery artist, who produces colourful jewellery using silver, copper with glass enamelling. Her inspiration comes from ideas by clients for a specific piece or from the world around her. She uses traditional and modern techniques to gather patterns and textures to incorporate them into tactile pieces of jewellery. A lot of her pieces include landscapes, but she likes to be expressive in her work to explore new avenues and themes.

She is currently taking her influences from Moorish Art, inspired by her many trips to the AndalucĂa region of Spain. AndalucĂa is rich in Moorish culture and architectural design which she adores and is incorporated with vivid Mediterranean colours to craft unique items of jewellery.

Elaine’s jewellery will provide you with the perfect excuse to spoil yourself!
