DanceMax have been to the World Championships this past weekend and had an absolute ball!

Anna Henrich-Jones what an absolute show you put on! Just the best weekend in the calender .. I am so grateful for your invitation to adjuicate and I loved every moment of watching those kids dance their hearts out 😍 so many professionals caught up with over the weekend .. so happy to have seen you and congratulated you 👏🏻

Team DanceMax 💛🖤 it's just the best when we spend a weekend like this together! I really do appreciate all the time and effort you guys dedicate to dance so we can go on this crazy rollercoaster as a team ✨

Results were outstanding across the board, whether it was celebrated with a trophy or just a hug and smile from me they all matter 💪🏻
🎧Teams - Livvy Elder absolutely knocked it out the park and got that win they so deserved - Level Up adult street team WINNERS! And my freestyle teams, juniors WINNERS and seniors RUNNERS UP .. all incredible and so proud we pulled it off 🤩
👑Street - Jimmy O'Neil u10 3rd place from 5 heats! Mr Bob u12 boy 5th! And Miss Alanna Graham holding up her street record, 4th place from 5 heats of absolute street perfection! All amazing! 6 semis from the team and recalls for everyone 💪🏻
🔥Fast pairs - Halle Sophie Craggs and Jimmy u10 inter 4th and Hannah and Bob 6th place u12 inter! Some amazing quarter and semis for street from 3/4 heats for the rest of the team 👋🏻
🖤Slow - an incredible junior session with 4 amazing finals with 3 (we think) grade points! 😭 Avery u6 starter RUNNER UP! Halle u10 inter 4th! Bobby u12 boy 4th also and Miss Ivy Danielle Simpson absolutely blowing us away with a RUNNER UP U12 CHAMPIONSHIP GIRL 😭 special mention to Hannah Brown, a semi in the same champ girl section your first time back in champs was incredible! 👏🏻 the seniors did not disappoint - recalls and 7 quarters, a semi for Ellie Gill first time in youth and so tiny 🩵
💛Fast - you guys absolutely blew me away I couldn't have been happier with any of you! But goodness me Miss Avery u6 beg WINNER AT WORLDS .. the babys a starter!!! 👑 Special mention for lil Jim so close in that u10 inter semi you shone babes .. it's time for a new chapter in u12 💀 and the seniors weeewwwwww 🫡 5 incredible quarter finals, a semi for Iyla Connell from 70 kids 🤯 and not one but two in the youth prem fast semi 💪🏻 Alanna Ellie you tore it up and couldn't have done anymore. Feels like a win to me! 🤗 Savannah Ramsay our u14 champ girl support FINALIST 6TH PLACE 🏆 you absolutely smashed it darling we are so proud of you!!! You flew round that floor and showed everyone what you are made of 🔥🔥

So many standout moments for us a team across the board, the recalls that blew us away, kids personal achievements not measured by results but by feelings ✨ I see you all and I think you're all amazing 😍

Another busy week at DanceMax Studio!
Last weekend our students took part in their NCDTA International freestyle exams, and we are pleased to report a 100% pass rate, all with marks Honours and above! 🥳
We are so proud of all our students! 👏

We are also pleased to announce that our examiner also nominated students Faith Louise Ellie Gill and Abigail Hill for NCDTA awards in their respective freestyle performer age categories :) an amazing achievement!! 💃

You sign her up for dance thinking it’ll be something simple

A way to get her out of the house.
Burn some energy.
Make a few friends her age.

Just a class.
Just a season.
Just something fun.

But then…

She walks into that studio, a little unsure, a little excited
and something clicks.

She starts counting steps in the kitchen.
Spinning in the living room.
Practicing in socks on floors that were never meant to be stages.

And suddenly… it’s not “just dance” anymore.

It’s years of:
early drop-offs and late-night pickups,
bobby pins scattered across your counters,
costumes hanging on door frames,
last-minute tights runs,
recital nerves and proud tears,
volunteering backstage,
and learning the rhythm of a world you never knew you were stepping into.

Because you didn’t just sign her up for a class…

You opened the door to something she loves.

A place where she finds confidence.
Friendship.
Discipline.
Expression.

A place where she becomes more of who she is.

And one day you realize

This wasn’t about filling her time.
It was about helping her find a piece of herself she’ll carry for life. 💗
