Daneside Theatre Daneside Theatre is a 300-seat venue in Congleton, Cheshire. Its used by more than 10 local amateur groups, as well as regional bands to present shows.

We also show regular films on our big screen, usually about 7 weeks after theatrical release.

Coming up at Daneside Theatre this week:

Sunday evening @ 7pm. Film: H is for Hawk(12A) starring Claire Foy as a bereaved daughter who sets out to train a goshawk. A record of a spiritual journey, H IS FOR HAWK is a story about memory and nature and how it might be possible to reconcile death with life and love.

Wednesday matinee Film: The Magic Faraway Tree(U). A retelling of the beloved The Faraway Tree series of novels for children, THE MAGIC FARAWAY TREE follows Polly and Tim and their children Beth, Joe and Fran – a modern family who find themselves forced to relocate to the remote English countryside. Soon after their arrival, with no Wi-Fi or electricity to charge their treasured electronic gadgets, the children must develop an interest in the great outdoors. Exploring the natural world around their new home, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric residents, including cherished characters Moonface, Silky, Dame Washalot and Saucepan Man. At the top of thetree, they are transported to spectacular and fantastical lands, and, through the joys and challenges of their adventures, the family learn to reconnect and value each other for the first time in years.
