Thanks to Gemma Blakely - Fine Artist for a great demo in acrylics last night. Facinating to see this piece go from initial blocking in to gradually more opaque layers. Interesting thoughts on putting darks in first to add depth. And the most organised brushes we have seen!

Thanks to My Gallery. Duxy Leahy for a facinating and entertaining demo of landscape in acrylics last night. Lots of interesting tips and ideas, there will no doubt now be a peak in demand for fan brushes! Amazing to watch this take shape in such a short time.

We are delighted to host another Kilmood Art Club Exhibition - and just in time for Easter!

Many thanks to Paul O'Kane for stepping in at short notice to give us a demo in water soluble oils. Lots of chat about drying times, and how they differ from conventional oils.

Paul talked us through how he approaches, building up a painting, how he looks at colours as well as giving us some useful tips about bringing equipment on trips.

Great demo/workshop from Grahame Booth this afternoon, taking a fairly drab photo and bringing it to life. I love the sense of light Grahame brought to the piece, all done within 90mins, truly amazing. We extend our thanks to Ards Borough Council for funding for a series of online workshops for Kilmood Art Club.

Thanks to everyone who joined our zoom evening drawing bats on the Lubee Bat Conservancy live web cam on Thursday.

Drawing moving subjects like this is always a challenge, but everyone embraced the task and some great drawings were made. They are all to shy to put them here, so here are the ones I did!
