This is my clients third tattoo

She has never “started small”
She’s known what she wants, is aware it will take time and has locked in and got it done

When thinking about what tattoo you would like always thing of future planning too because there’s nothing worse than that “small first tattoo” getting in the way when you want to add a bigger piece in the future

So you’ve booked your tattoo appointment, it gets to the day and you have that panic “what do I wear? I don’t want to be too exposed, too hot or too cold?!”

So the first rule in getting tattooed is dress comfortable. Tight fitting clothes are just going to make the experience worse

Secondly - don’t wear light coloured clothing. So many people turn up in white. They say it doesn’t matter if you get ink on it, but we all know you would rather not

So what about those more “exposed areas” back piece, inbetween the breasts, hips, bum cheek etc
Back = wear a zip up top or shirt backwards this way we can access your back without you having to have your front exposed and it will also keep you warm

Inbetween the breasts= most artists will provide ni**le covers but for that extra comfort bring a shirt that you can open that will still cover your breasts but leave that middle part exposed

Hip area= preferably bikini bottoms that tie on the side. comfortable loose underwear also works but can be difficult as we don’t want that fabric on your fresh tattoo during your session

Bum cheeks= thongs are perfect for this. However if you wanted that extra layer to be comfortable some really loose shorts that you can pull up and to the side is perfect 👌

Just remember your artist isn’t looking at anything they shouldn’t be and they will make you feel as comfortable as possible. We know people can have body insecurities but we have seen thousands of bodies all shapes and sizes . Your body is just our canvas and we want you to be comfortable and enjoy the experience of your tattoo

Let’s cover up rant time by calling it story time

Now don’t get me wrong there are some perks to being self employed … I don’t have a di****ad boss … I am the di****ad boss

And I can have a day off …. If I plan it 4-6 months in advance

Now I’ve done the whole 9-5 job before so the question is … would I ever change my life to go back to that ….. nah . I love what I do and love what I’ve achieved. Do I worry about the future? YES. Do I sometimes think “sh*t this is all on me?” YES
Lucky for me I’m like a feckin diamond and thrive under pressure 😆

So what’s your preference … self employed or employed?

Once a month me and the “better half” do a joint flash day.

This gives us the opportunity to get new faces through the door and it gives you the opportunity to grab yourself a bargain on a tattoo and piercing

*Bonnie is also venturing into the world of nails now too, because you know you can’t ever have enough fingers in pies and all that 💅 *

As you can probably see from a few of these photos we have such fun working together and hope all our clients enjoy the space and want to keep coming back for me
