Supported by Java Bean and raising funds for RAFSCHT (event not open to the public) FAQ's
Q) Do I need to book? A) No but we appreciate you responding to our Facebook event with "going" if you will be there on the day
Q. The meet is open to owners of vintage, classic and retro cars / bikes (define as pre 2000 W prefix and earlier and no 51/02 style plates). It is not a general public / family ev
ent or fun day, you need to own or be a passenger in a suitable vehicle on the day (no dogs, pet lizards or furry gonks). Q) I don't have a classic car can I attend? A) Sadly no as this is a group visit to the Heritage centre which is on private land we cannot support general public access, its also a problem for our insurance (sorry)
Q) Is there a fee or charge to attend? A) This is a free event but we are fundraising for the heritage centre so please don't forget your purse / wallet! What about car groups? We are unable to accommodate large groups or ride outs as this is an informal meet, of course we welcome those who know each other through various groups to arrive and park together. What will be happen on the day? Vehicles will be directed from the gate to our parking spot, you must follow the on site speed restriction and park up *this is a static meet* you will leave via the same route. Anyone not following these directions will be asked to leave. If you are expecting a supermarket car park meet with smoke and silliness please stay away! What will be available on the day? A range of cars to view, coffee and refreshments for purchase and a chance to tour the heritage centre and raise some badly needed funds for them (so please bring some spare change!)
Q. What insurance do I need? As a minimum you need the legal insurance to drive to the meet including 3rd Party liability. As we are meeting on private land you need to check your insurance will cover this. Your attendance is entirely at your risk and this meet and all involved are not liable for any loss or damage incurred. Sounds a bit serious it will be fun right? Absolutely, we just need everyone coming to be sensible, respectful (as most always are) and we can have a great morning with cools cars, coffee and cold war!
