This evening at "Keep The Beat" Colne we had a Drum for our friend and fellow Drummer Dominic Wood who sadly passed away at the weekend.

You will be sadly missed Dom by everyone at Keep the beat Drumming Circle. We played "Kakilambi" for you so keep on banging those Drums mate. 🪘🥁 x

Keep The Beat Drum Circle (KTB) Colne and Cross Roads.

Colne In Bloom Winter Light Parade. 15th February

Keep The Beat Drum Circle have been asked to take part in the Winter Light Parade. Which I must say is a really lovely Community event for the town of Colne.

The Parade sets off from Colne Municipal Hall on Albert Road between 5.45pm / 6pm. So I would ask those wanting to take part to be there for about 5.30pm so we can establish where in the Parade they want us.

If any Drummers would like to use a light weight drum with harness please let me know ASAP? So I can then get them ready.

This years theme is based on the (Pendle) Witches, so please feel free to wear Witchcy outfits, and maybe add some lights to it!
Also this year we will be joined by Rainbow Drumming Circle which is run by Lyn and based also in Colne.

Then why not come along and have some fun playing a Drum!!!

You are more than welcome to join our weekly Drum Circle "Keep The Beat Cross Roads". The session is held inside the Memorial Building at Cross Roads Park, BD22 9BG (Near Haworth), 2pm till 3.30pm.

We learn, and play mainly West African Rhythms in a relaxed and fun atmosphere you are more than Welcome to join us. New and Experienced Drummers alike are welcome.

FREE DRUMMING WORKSHOP ON SATURDAY 14th DECEMBER.

Keep The Beat Drum Circle Lancashire and Yorkshire. 🪘🥁
Is holding a Drum Workshop in Keighley on Saturday 14th December 1pm till 4pm at the Little Normad Project, Low Street, Keighley - inside the old Marks and Spencer Building.

( Free of Charge. but Donations will be gratefully received).

The Workshop is being run by (Keep The Beat Drum Circles) and is open to one and all - so You are More than Welcome to attend and have some fun learning and playing some great mainly Traditional African Rhythms.

"Drumming together as a group is not only fun, but it is a brilliant form of Therapy - it can help with both physical and mental well-being. It can be so helpful to help people physically with coordination especially after a stroke or accident. It is also great for helping with Mental Health issues such as depression, stress and anxiety".

Keep The Beat Drum Circle Lancashire & Yorkshire

Thank you to everyone who came along to our two really good Drumming Circles this week, on Sunday afternoon at "Keep The Beat" in Cross Roads, and on Monday evening at "Keep The Beat" in Colne.

It was great to get back into doing some Drumming again, and seeing everybody enjoy themselves. It is also brilliant to welcome newbies to both Groups.

I hope you all have a good week, and I look forward to seeing you all soon
