With a range of classes across all ages, bursting with energy, enthusiasm and an eclectic mix of dance styles the school is buzzing with a real sense of achievement – with a fantastic, loyal and rapidly growing following in Colchester and the surrounding areas. LR Dance School professional school of dance began in 2003 and was

set up by Principal Miss Laura Rampton (F.I.S.T.D.).Our school offers classes in various styles such as freestyle, commercial street, rock and roll, and slow lyrical - at various locations around the Colchester area. and that are appropriate for children and adults. Classes are currently held across Colchester and also in Lawford, West Bergholt, Tiptree, Lexden, Great Horkesley, Nayland and Stanway. LR Dance School has achieved amazing success since opening in 2003, locally and regionally. This has been due to the fantastic efforts and hard work of the students, the tremendous support of their parents and the commitment and loyalty shown by all within the LR Dance School family.

⭐️ADFP Colchester 14/6/26⭐️

We had a fabulous day together at the Colchester City Championships, with big heats and a very good standard of dancing throughout all age groups. The day was very clear from the beginning that it was going to be all about powering through, giving 200% in every round and putting our best foot forward!

With the best cheerleaders supporting our gorgeous girls they could hear us loud and proud on the dance floor. We really are blessed with the most incredible dance family ❤️.

A huge well done to our darling girls who represented us Charlotte, Niamh, Ava, Kate, Molly, Amelia, Isla, Mimi, Orla, Alexis, Ayda and Myla (who joined us later in the day for her street solo).

We are all so proud of you girls, you are just non stop in class working so incredibly hard on your goals and pushing forward in everything. Keep flying high angels. ✨

Girls we also just want to mention your floor craft, presentation, attention to detail with hair/make up & accessories and costumes were stunning 🤩 .

🩷 A huge well done for making their fast solos: Charlotte, Isla, Ava, Molly and Ayda.
🩷 Our Ava gaining her second grade point in fast and is working so hard to chase the final one before Intermediate - WOW darling, the last two comps you’ve gained two grade points, your smile when you dance speaks a thousand words and we know how much you LOVE your dancing!
🩷 Our Molly, there was 33 in your section and we want you to know we are so proud of you for making that strong final, keep shining Mols.
🩷 A huge well done for making their slow finals: Charlotte, Orla, Isla, Alexis, Ava, Kate and Ayda.
🩷 Our Ayda WINNING her slow and her beautiful little face up there on the 1st place podium.
🩷 Gorgeous pairs work and dancing their way to the finals were: Amelia & Molly, Kate & Ava, Isla & Mimi - well done darlings!
🩷 Myla coming straight from a birthday party to be with her friends so she could dance her street solo. (Little superstar!)
🩷 We had three of our girlies stay for street solos and ALL three were in their finals! Our Ava, Myla and Ayda - GO ON GIRLS!

At LRD we are more than a dance school, we are a family through and through.

The friendships, encouragement, support and genuine love and care our darling girls show one another makes us beyond proud. Every achievement is celebrated together, every challenge is faced as a team and every pupil is so truly special to us and adored in our hearts. 🩷🖤🩷🖤

The best learning happens when you're surrounded by teachers and friends who believe in you and want you to shine brightly. Watching our beautiful girls support, encourage and cheer each other on side by side with their precious kind words always and being there for each other is a huge part of why of our dance family is so incredibly special. ❤️

The gorgeous friendships formed, the amazing teamwork shown every day and the pure joy of learning together are such important elements in creating an environment where everyone can grow as dancers with confidence. ✨

ISTD Cambridge Qualifier 7/6/26

To our beautiful girls Sienna, Emmy, Molly and Harriet, I want you know how proud we are of you all 🩷🖤🩷🖤. It may have been a very small group of us trying to Qualify at this event and I know how hard you are all working in class on your routines. You all danced and performed so beautifully on the floor and together we all celebrated the success of Sienna and Harriet both Qualifying for Nationals in October. We are over the moon for you both ❤️❤️. The standard was incredibly high and you both danced from your hearts. Huge congratulations Sienna and Harriet.

To our darling Molly who danced through the big heats to make her Solo final, well done sweetheart, your lines were gorgeous! ❤️

With lots of support, love, friendship and laughter we really did have a lovely day. The car journey home with Molly and Harriet was hilarious and it was so wonderful to have a catch up with my 4 gorgeous Mummies Donna, Melissa, Lois and Gemma.
