And we get it. The reference looks perfect. Every line is crisp. It’s exactly what you want.
Here’s why we always have a conversation before we just… do that.
Skin isn’t a screen. It moves, it heals, it ages — and it does all of that differently on every single person. What looks razor-sharp on day one will soften as it heals. Tight spacing blurs. Micro-detail merges. We’re not designing for the photo you take on day three. We’re designing for how it looks in year five.
Small doesn’t mean simple. It means less margin for error.
The good news: small, detailed, and clean long-term is absolutely achievable. It just takes considered design, sometimes a touch more breathing room, occasionally sizing up slightly, always thinking about placement and how that specific area ages.
