PLEASE SHARE to all your friends. A Thread Above is in Tiptree and is a shop as well as craft courses. Laura works really hard in the shop and running/organsing workshops ( including my fused glass workshops). This is a post I never like to do but we need your help… the last two months have been so quiet - worryingly so.
I’m sure you’ve seen it again and again, small businesses pleading with you to use them and support them and that’s where we’re at. We really need your help…
Suddenly April arrived and with it the brilliant increase in business rates (we’re talking £1000s increase to us), our bills suddenly shot up and people seem to have disappeared…
We have people booking on our popular workshops which is amazing ❤️ thank you so much but honestly we need your help for more.
Most days we hear people asking if we are new or not knowing about us (after nearly 5 years it baffles me people in our village don’t know we’re here still).
We have people coming in saying “I was going to book on that” “never mind I’ll do it next time” “i didn’t know you were here” and “I really want to book on that but can’t make that date” (never to be seen again)
All this has got us wondering what the future is going to look like for us… (don’t panic we are not closing the business, those that know me, know I’ve put my everything in to this business and will continue to fight for it and everything it stands for) but it can’t continue as it is, which leads on to how you can help….
⭐️ if you were going to book on a workshop - PLEASE do 🙏
⭐️ if you know anyone crafty tell them about us 🗣️ infact just tell anyone and everyone about us
⭐️share a social media post for us or recommend us
⭐️leave us a review if you’ve been on a workshop or visited our lovely little shop
⭐️ engage with us (the more people engage with us the more we will be seen by others)
⭐️ if you have a workshop in mind that we haven’t got on our programme- tell us about it - we are always open to new ideas and will try our hardest to make it happen
⭐️ if you are a group that loves being crafty why not organise a session - whether it’s a social session or a party we can cater for all, in our workshop or your own venue
In return we will continue to put on some great workshops, with great tutors, in a lovely bright, cool, open, friendly environment, where cake, tea and gin is always welcome
