We are delighted to announce that on Saturday 9th May 2026, coppery t**i monkey, Copper, gave birth to a single offspring.

The Animal Care Team are pleased to report that the family is doing well with their little one, and their first offspring, Benji, who remains with the group is showing a keen interest in his new sibling!

Unfortunately, this species still faces a number of threats out in the wild; they are often killed for bush meat and caught for the pet trade. Therefore, this birth is excellent news for the European breeding programme and for the conservation of these animals.
