Ardleigh Studios Ardleigh Studios are individual artists studios just outside of Colchester. Part of the ACAVA Studio The London studios closed in Sept 2016.

Mother Studios, London was founded in August 2001 by artist Joanna Hughes. Mother Studios grew in 2015 and
Mother Studios, Essex was set up in Ardleigh, Colchester. The spaces are situated in a building originally for brewing hops. Some parts of the warehouse are Victorian so have fantastic light as a result. There are 34 studios in the light and secure setting. There are plans for a cafe, galle

ry and project rooms in the near future. As well as providing affordable space, Mother Studios also offers a support network for the artists at the studios.
