🎭 MEET THE CO-DIRECTORS OF MINTY SPECTRE 🎭
As we mark two years of Minty Spectre, we’re delighted to introduce the co-directors leading our creative and organisational vision.

Joseph Rawlings [image left] is an experienced actor and events manager, with a background in both performance and large-scale cultural programming. His one-man show Hide My P**n was awarded Colchester Pick of the Fringe 2024 and recently completed a successful run at the Prague Fringe. Alongside his theatrical work, Joseph has managed major performance and cultural events across the UK and Europe, bringing together logistics, creativity, and community.

Adam Saiz Abo Henriksen [image right] is a musician, composer, musical director, and writer. He has led large-scale choir events, composed original music, and arranged and edited material for several Minty Spectre productions — including P**p P**p! and Just a Bit Off the Top at last year’s fringe. His work spans musical theatre, touring shows, and he brings a musical and narrative sensibility to all he creates.

Together, they co-direct Minty Spectre — combining skills in theatre-making, music, and cultural event management. Since founding the company in 2023, they have produced six original shows, developed new touring and dining experiences, and are currently preparing to expand into a broader summer tour from 2026.

With a commitment to collaboration, creativity, and community storytelling, Joseph and Adam continue to lead Minty Spectre into new imaginative territory.

🎉 TWO YEARS OF MINTY SPECTRE 🎉
This June marks two years since Minty Spectre got started — and a lot’s happened since then. From six original productions to residencies, road trips, and a concert in a water tank, we’ve poured heart, humour, and harmony into every moment.
Since forming in May 2023, we’ve produced six original shows:
⚓ Treasure Island – a new take with original music
🍊 Hide My P**n – Colchester Pick of the Fringe, just returned from a run in Prague
🐸 P**p P**p! – our new musical reworking of Wind in the Willows
🎄A Christmas Carol – an original music-driven touring show, now in development as a dining experience
😎 Just a Bit Off the Top – a barbershop-inspired celebration (and light mocking) of all things 90s
🧥 A Tailor of Gloucester – our newest musically adapted touring and dining show – ready for audiences this year!
🎶 Put on a concert inside Jumbo Water Tower — a one-off fundraiser that gave us a new perspective (literally)
🌍 Taken our work to two Fringe festivals, the Lakeside Theatre, and venues across East Anglia
🚐 Bought a van that was lost to storm Darragh on the first of our touring shows December, and now in ownership of a (perhaps too large) new red one! — used for both touring and freelance work that supports the company’s long-term sustainability
🎧 Created a citywide Christmas audio trail, built around a new version of A Christmas Carol recorded with:
• 8 local artists, a primary school, residential care home, and community contributors from across Colchester
🏰 Performed at a beautiful and exciting array of venues, from Nanteos Mansion in Aberystwyth, to Layer Marney Tower closer to home, where we are returning for a week of performances this Christmas
👀 Watched 50+ other fringe shows, helping us build connections and stay inspired
We owe enormous thanks to everyone who’s supported us so far — whether you’ve helped carry a set, joined the audience, shared your space, or just kept us moving.
We’re committed to telling original stories, rooted in creativity, collaboration, and the occasional bit of chaos.
