2025/26 was a year of development, understanding and building something special as a team. Now, we’re ready for the next chapter ✨

Reflecting back on 2025/26… it’s been such a special year at HQ.

A year we will remember as a team… the year we really stepped into our focused dance education era.

Mentoring, developing teacher practice, nurturing our dancers and building stronger pathways for the future.

The past few years have been about learning in the background, gaining credibility, knowledge, business mentorship, personal growth and building something with real purpose and integrity.

And we are only just getting started.

Class spaces are filling up fast but we are please to say we have spaces available in:
Pre-School Dance and Musical Theatre (age 3-4): Mondays at 11:30am
Acrobatic Arts: Thursdays from 4 (age 4+)
RAD Ballet Academy: Various days (age and experience dependant)

The Ballet exam results are in and all we have to say is WOOOOOOOHOOOOO! 74% Distinctions and the rest Merits, what a huge achievement and a testament to how hard our Ballet Academy students (and our wonderful teachers) have worked 🩰💪🏽

Musical Theatre is a firm favourite with our HQ students and there’s no question as to why. It’s FUN, EMPOWERING and BUILDS CONFIDENCE! Even our most timid students come to life in this class, it gives them a voice and makes them feel part of a team 💪🏽

Last week, Ellie from Counsellor | Adults & Couples | ADHD & Autism Specialist joined us to talk to our team about neurodivergence, neuro-affirming teaching practice and, importantly, how we can better support every child who walks through our doors.

Differentiation is a huge part of my vision for teaching. As dance educators, our responsibility goes far beyond teaching the steps. Great teaching means understanding how children learn, process information, communicate, regulate and experience the world around them.

I’m incredibly proud that Dance HQ is a nurturing and safe space for so many children, and continuing to learn about neurodiversity is an important part of our pedagogy and my ethos as an educator.

We’re taking what we learned from Ellie and beginning to embed new approaches and non-negotiables across our teaching. Creating classes that are predictable, inclusive, supportive and enjoyable, while still challenging our dancers to learn, grow and develop.

Because every child deserves to feel seen, understood and successful at Dance HQ!!

A huge thank you to Ellie for sharing her knowledge with our team and helping us continue to grow as educators.

Lots of HQ developments happening …. Roll on our new academic year.
