Did you know I have a British Wildlife range?

I have been a lover of British Wildlife since I was a kid. It all started with The Animals of Farthing Wood and Watership Down. Do you know I have only ever seen a Tawny Owl once (in flight) and hear them quite often. I have seen them at the British Wildlife centre. They are such beautiful birds.

I have several mammals and a couple of birds in this collection. Which animal would you like to see next? (Please the the poll in this post)

Did you know I have a British Wildlife range?

I have been a lover of British Wildlife since I was a kid. It all started with The Animals of Farthing Wood and Watership Down. And just one of my favourites is the Badger. One of my favourite moments was badger watching up in the Cairngorms.

Red Fox!

Did you know I have a British Wildlife range?

I have been a lover of British Wildlife since I was a kid. It all started with The Animals of Farthing Wood and Watership Down and then on to seeing Foxes in the woods near our house. I just fell in love with the Fox. It is my favourite animal, that’s why you will see a lot of Foxes in Mystic Tapir Illustrations. The Red Fox is demonised for all the wrong reasons, it is the symbol of adaptability and survival.

Hedgehog!

Did you know I have a British Wildlife range?

I have been a lover of British Wildlife since I was a kid. Hedgehogs were always one we used to get so excited about seeing in the garden and just watching them get about their business. Of course, that is now a rarer sight due to the rapid decline of Hedgehogs in the UK. We are still very fortunate to have them visit our garden still. There are so many factors impacting our favourite spiky friends. One thing you can do is give them access between gardens to give them further to forage. Just a small hole at the bottom of a fence can be all it takes and if enough of us do this we increase their range.

OK, OK it’s the last one of my mug for a while 😂

I finished the last of the Christmas Fairs yesterday and what a lovely few weeks it has been. It has been so lovely to meet some of the regular MT friends, but also some we made some new friends.

Thank you to for supporting me with the fairs, helping set up and being there on the stall even through freezing conditions.

It’s my last Fair of the Christmas season tomorrow 😔 Here’s a photo of the stall looking fabulous (would be even more fabulous if I wasn’t in it looking frozen 🥶🤣)

Welcome to Mystic Tapir Illustrations (MT)

We have been really busy at Fairs for the past few weeks. I always think I never show my face on here. So, here I am (sorry about that) 😂

MT has been running for almost 3 years. Inspired by the natural world and cartoons we bring that mixture together. Creating fun and humorous gifts for family and friends. We have a Etsy shop and you can also pick up some of our designs in the awesome

We have had a great time this Christmas at the Fairs we have attended and had visits from our wonderful customers (always great to see our regulars return and more and more new MT friends)
