One of the groups of Classical Musicians I've met on my travels are the Hungarian elite Nagy family who are terrific musicians. As a compliment to my friend Mrs Eszther Nagy I started recording these numbers from the Hungarian Piano School the Great Sir András Schiff must have been familiar with as a boy in the 1970s in Hungary. I'm making a complete recording of the entire book from beginning to end in lockdown. It's been a fascinating story. This is the whole of the first chapter there are over 100 numbers of less than 30 bars from composers throughout history. These are 32 numbers by modernist Hungarian composers of the 20th century for their kids. Brilliant bite sized pieces of 20th Century Classical music if you want tot learn how to play 20th Century Classical Music on Piano this is the way to do it it's a good port of call. I used them with my piano teacher in Wuppertal for my exam there.

This complete recording of the first chapter of the Hungarian Piano School Book 2 entitled 'Hungarian Contributors' is now complete. They are bitesized chunks of very palatable 20th Century music to s

The thing is I haven't just aspired to be a professional in this area. In the 00s I was in Germany for seven years not building up contacts round here. That's why I feel it's essential to talk to Classical Musicians in the area. I have contacts in Leipzig, Mannheim, Berlin Rotterdam and Hannover as well as in London again now. I really worked for those contacts and I wasn't allowed my second professional of EFL in the UK either. I was seven years into being a successful English as a Foreign Language Tutor. It was my student job and I was quite successful at running my own business as a supply teacher in Germany with it for language schools being Cambridge Certified in that too. I wanted to do that as a career in this country too having done that as an alternative to singing when it didn't work out initially in good faith. They hated me at Essex Uni doing my MA which I passed in EFL so I diversified back into music. They hated me in everything so I thought I way as well just keep my teaching skills up and teach myself for music exams. This led to contact with the OU and CINST but now I've got HOFA to do Media Composition and Production and GSMD back and possibly also ICMP and Point Blank for short courses. I'm looking forward to a final year in Malta. This is folk music but it's my fifth of six mixing projects in the BASIC course I thought this was quite a good piece of HW. Despite being a pop producer as well now I don't want to abandon my classical base so I'm forming the group.

This is my pro and college experience of singing. It's limited in terms of gigs but it was great fun and I don't regret it especially now having five musical studies as opposed to one Singing, Piano Violin, Composing and Production.

These are all the things I've done locally with my singing since 2014 and all the major repertoire I've performed 26 oratorios 3 operas one set of orchestral part songs, and one musical since 1985 plus countless church and carol services. some of the oratorios I've done up to four times like Handel's Messiah and the Bach St Matthew Passion 3x. Iv'e done them both abroad as well and an oratorio and an opera as a professional soloist. I've sung for BBC World 2x, Hyperion Records 1x, Eton Choral Courses 2x and Aldeburgh Voices 2x. https://www.hwaldock.com/adulthood/ As a boy I was a member of The BOys Choir of Widford Lodge School in Chelmsford and Ipswich School Chapel Choir, choral society and Elite Chamber Group Choir I was a soloist on the Edinburgh Tour and won the school solo singing cup in 1995.

I was destroyed everywhere I went in Classical Music but I've finally got some traction on them. I got into GSMD at 19 and fell out with them after 1 year because I'd lost my father in childhood and I needed a girlfriend and didn't get one. Luckily though, I've been accepted for a short course with them in producing and composing film music. So, I'm making it up with my college in London, and I'm doing a degree in Audio Engineering in Mannheim in Germany with HOFA. They mainly do pop music, but I could really finally get a job in the music industry thanks to my German connections. I didn't mean to study music for a second time it just happened for me in Germany when I'd dropped out. I was invited to apply successfully for a Classical Music course as a countertenor in Germany as well. I didn't get that either but it really was that I was given poor advice at school. I was shy at first and bullied and they thought singing was all I could do and they were wrong. I got my second study piano exam which I had no right to pass and is a practical exam from a top German conservatoire. Plus I passed all my theory everything but the countertenor exam. However, I found out that when I really practised piano on the exam I had I had the ability to sing, sight sing and compose and I sorted my own musical problems out. I was good enought to play and compose for a living adn possible sing baritone not countertenor. I was a prizewinner as a countertenor but wasn't talented enough as one to make it as a soloist. I said this in 2005 I'd go with that having not given the right impression as second time and I got friendlier with the composer in the college adn was invited to Professor Dr Lutz WErner HEsse's premiere of his concerto for Chinese Zither and orchestra he was such a nice guy I thought he was much more my type than an American Teacher who was a great guy and whom I liked but who was making every excuse under the sun as to why I wasn't performing. It was his fault because Jan Ehnes proved with his passing of the piano exam I could pass a conservatoire examination in Classical Music and he wasn't up to scratch with his teaching. He was a brilliant singer but he didn't have a problem solving brain as far as teaching was concerned. I had a deficiency with my musicality that was solved conclusively by Jan teaching me piano. Once I could play I could learn and sing the music independently myself which is what Mr Stevenson needed I didn't believe I could do it because he wasn't aware of how clever Jan had been with his piano teaching. He was so dumb with it he made my position untenable with the other teachers and prematurely so. he thought he could call it as the son of a Hollywood star and he got it wrong unfortunately much a s I loved him as a person I should have stayed and not taken his advice. He was a very good teacher if you knew what you were doing already in singing with sight reading and musicality but he couldn't play piano himself to save his life and he couldn't teach me the correct notes himself he could just give you professional contacts and open up your voice and comment on your singing. He taught me a lot about life experience in music and solving problems yourself American Style rather than relying on him I am for that side of him but he was simply incapable of knowing how to get me the very skills he was supposed to be teaching me. In his day in opera the vocal coach at the company taught you all your pieces you didn't need to be musical yourself. He was a brilliant voice like his mum and a Juilliard violinist he just couldn't play piano in time even just the melody to demonstrate the notes of a simple folk tune. I can do that now. I could accompany my pupils in a 121 lesson he couldn't and he's had all the say in who I am not just singing but music in general so far and I was part of that scene for so long. I got it and they won't give me the credit for anything I've achieved I feel so let down. I've got back in with a few people after a break as a qualified language tutor in EFL but it's just not on if I fail. I spent all my father's inheritance on it. That's where I'm at but I do have a chance because of my engineering as well as performing. I've solved my problems at the very least I could record things for online with a small ensemble and write and produce and restore old recordings for people. iv'e done over 400 vocal performances I have grade 8 theory and grade 8 singing. I could get the vocal teaching diploma to go with my degree and a GSMD conductors and orchestral scoring course.

This is a movement of mine with Mozartian influence from my piano concerto Batemans IIII Allegro Vivace. It's named after Rudyard Kipling's home. It's out on Spotify as a Logic Pro 10 rendering of a piece for Classical orchestra. It contains my first ever chorale harmonisation as the main theme. I write all sorts of things this is my from concerto for piano written in 2016 at a friend's house in Burwash, East Sussex. It's shows 20th century influence as well. It's a Sibelius score written out note for note as if by hand. https://open.spotify.com/album/2Nytu8KteC1cKkCsKb7FsM?si=2bzCsqFXRuqpCbEK-T7wJg
