Derwent Strings needs you 🫵!

We are an informal group who come together to play mostly classical music purely for pleasure in a stress-free environment.

We meet on Wednesdays 7-9pm at St. Joseph's Church Hall on Crown Street, Cockermouth.

The new term starts on September 17th and continues until 26th November (no session in half term 29/10).

Look forward to seeing you there!

Hello! It's been a long time since we posted anything on here and it's high time we kicked it off again!

Derwent Strings succeeded in restarting in October last year, with new restrictions in place, in line with St. Joseph's Church requirements. We had a good run through to Christmas, managing to squeeze in 9 sessions despite the late start.

We're now in full swing for the Spring term with a lovely wide variety of music to play. Look out for the event on this page with this term's dates on - following shortly...

Everyone is welcome to come along and give it a go! It would lovely to welcome some new faces 🙂🎻🎶
