Last Wdnesday, 11th September, we held our first rehearsal of the season at Parkside School in Stoke d'Abernon. A glass of wine was enjoyed by everyone and it was great to catch up with each other. We then took our early steps getting to grips with the Vivaldi and the Elgar under the expert direction of Val with David on the piano. The Elgar is not so well known, but it is certainly a beautiful piece of music to sing ... and listen to.

Rehearsals for our new season start on 11 September at 8.00 PM at St Mary's Church Hall in Stoke D'Abernon. This year we're singing Vivaldi's Gloria and Elgar's Dream of Gerontius with another concert in the summer - see the flyer below.
If you've sung in the past and want to try again, or even if you haven't sung before, you'll find we're a very friendly and helpful group - so please come along and give us a try - there's no cost. If you have any questions please contact our secretary.

Our Christmas Concert is coming soon on 9th December at St John's School Chapel in Leatherhead. We'll be singing carols and Bob Chilcott's Gloria supported by the Academy Brass Ensemble (http://academybrass.co.uk/). More details in the flyer below.
There's also time join us in our rehearsals - every Wednesday evening at 8PM at St Mary's Church Hall in Stoke D'Abernon.

Are you, like me, already missing a good sing? If so, here’s a gloriously good Come & Sing to look forward to in the Autumn.

Brahms Requiem – sung in German (edition Peters) – is an event to really look forward to. Saturday 14th October 2023 in Dorking Halls, of course under the baton of Jonathan Willcocks. A full day of singing this wonderful work, culminating in an informal performance for which we will be joined by two superb professional soloists Jessica Lawley (soprano) and Ross Fettes (baritone).

All this for just £25 including your music score for the day.
