Following the series of tragic news stories over the last week, we want to take a moment to remind everyone that the water here at the Crags is solely for the viewing pleasure of our visitors. Only the ducks, insects and other resident wildlife are permitted to enter the water!
Please be mindful of this during your visit, and make sure you and anyone in group keeps away from the water's edge.
If anyone you know finds themselves in difficulty in any water, please PHONE – FLOAT – THROW
- Call 999
- Encourage floating on the back
- Throw something that floats (don’t enter the water yourself)
If you end up in the water:
- Fight the instinct to panic
- Lean back, control breathing, and float
We are also looking forward to welcoming Derbyshire Fire & Rescue who are holding water safety day with us on 13th August.
