‼️IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – ECHO WEEKENDER POSTPONED
It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we have to announce that Echo Weekender, due to take place at Waddow Hall on 22 & 23 August, will unfortunately be postponed.
This is absolutely not an announcement we ever wanted to make, particularly so close to the event.
Unfortunately, contractual arrangements relating to this year’s event have been unable to be finalised within the timeframe available before the event build is due to commence.
Despite genuine efforts from both sides to find a solution, we have been unable to reach a mutually acceptable agreement within the time available.
An event of this size requires a carefully coordinated build involving numerous contractors, suppliers, infrastructure and deliveries. With that process due to begin next week, we have reached the point where we cannot allow uncertainty around the contractual arrangements to impact our ability to build and deliver the event safely and properly.
For that reason, we have made the extremely difficult decision to postpone.
We want to make it clear that we do not place blame on either party. Both sides have worked to try to find a way forward, but ultimately we have been unable to reach terms that both parties are comfortable proceeding under within the time remaining.
We know how disappointing this will be.
To everyone who has bought tickets, booked to trade, agreed to perform, sponsored us, supplied the event or simply been looking forward to spending the weekend with us – we are genuinely sorry.
A huge amount of time, work, money and passion has gone into Echo Weekender, which makes this decision particularly difficult.
Our immediate priority is now looking after everyone affected by the announcement and working through the next steps properly . We will take some time to consider the future of Echo Weekender and what comes next.
All ticket holders will be contacted directly regarding their tickets and the options available to them regarding refunds. We would ask for a little patience while we work through everything over the coming days.
We are absolutely gutted that we won’t be welcoming you through the gates next weekend.
Thank you to every single person who has supported Echo Weekender. We are incredibly sorry and thank you for your understanding.
