Tom Thumb is open from 12pm this Father’s Day – the bar is pouring, and the balcony is ready for you.

Perched above Eastern Esplanade in Cliftonville, Tom Thumb is one of Margate’s tiniest theatres, with just 56 seats tucked inside a converted Victorian coach house, all velvet, quirks and vintage charm.

But slip up the outside stairs and you’ll find that little sun-trap balcony. Bring your dad somewhere a bit different this year - somewhere you can sit, chat, and linger over a drink while you watch the world go by below.

On a bright day, with a glass in hand and good company across the table, there’s no where better to be.

Exceptionally crafted and masterfully executed. ★★★★★ – The Lewesian

Professor Nathan Zangari is losing his grip – on sleep, on s*x, and on reality.

A late‑night sleep study turns him into a mouthpiece for a Pompeian girl 2,000 years before Vesuvius blows… and his life starts to crack open.

Forgot the cake. This new mini‑opera steps past the clichés to reveal Marie Antoinette as a sharp, musically savvy queen at the centre of a quiet revolution in French opera.

Through the composers she championed – from Gluck to the brilliant Joseph Bologne – we see how her taste, power and foreignness made her both a cultural force and a target.

Performed by Olivia Doutney with live harpsichord from Petra Hajduchová, ANTONIA is an intimate, theatrical portrait of a woman the history books have tried to flatten. A queen you thought you knew, heard in a very different key.

This Friday 19th of June. Only 20 tickets left. Book yours today. Link in stories. Bar open from 6pm.

Experience an exclusive preview of The Sound of Tidehearts by Ruby Black, ahead of its sell-out run at the iconic Water Rats.

A live musical drama exploring loss, memory, and the pull of something just beyond reach, this intimate performance weaves storytelling with ten original songs, performed by a live band of piano, vocals, guitar, and percussion.

After losing the man she loves, Anaya is drawn into a haunting world where memory slips and control tightens - but a distant sound may still guide her home.
