Why do I paint?
I paint because when I do nothing else matters.
Popped this one up in the garden so I could get some sunlit content to share with you. The oil paints look so scrumptious in the sunlight - sorry, that’s is a very arty description (IYKYK)
This is a portrait of a beautiful puppy called Milo. What a cutie - I couldn’t resist painting those eyes! This is a second painting for Amy - I previously painted Milo’s sister; Heidi. The two portraits are now on display together 🥰
I absolutely loved the photograph that Amy gave me, as she had managed to get Milo’s whole body in frame and his expression is gorgeous. Capturing a full body photograph of a spaniel puppy who isn’t snoozing is rare.
I used a mix of Windsor and Newton and Pebeo oil paints on a Windsor and Newton canvas.
