This friday!!

The first offering from JE Promotions..

For those who don’t know, JW Promotions is John and Wayne, two lads who probably get out to more gigs than anyone I know. Their love for live music is absolutely genuine, and they’ve always had an incredible ear for finding great bands. So we’re really excited to be working with them on this one.

Headlining we’ve got Liverpool’s THE BALLA , a band making some serious noise on the indie scene. Sold out headline shows, festival appearances, support slots with some massive names, and a reputation for putting on an absolutely electric live show. These lads are going places.

Coming across the bridge we’ve got Hull’s 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 , another band making waves. Winners of the Scunthorpe Rock Open, backed by BBC Introducing and armed with some brilliant guitar-driven indie tunes. Really looking forward to hearing these guys in our room.

And then there’s Elson. What can we say about these lads? They played an absolutely incredible hometown show here recently, and anyone who was in that room knows just how special it was. We’re buzzing to have them back!

There’s a bit of a homecoming feel to Atlas this weekend, with a few familiar faces returning to Cleethorpes, and this one’s a belter!

Those who know, know. Eden is an incredible talent. An amazing voice, bags of sass, a guitar and a loop pedal, and she knows exactly how to use them!

If you’ve seen her before, you’ll know what we’re talking about. If you haven’t, you’re in for a treat.

Come down, grab a drink and have a listen. You won’t regret it!

Well, this was something truly special.

Last night at our open mic, local legend and all-round big-hearted giant Keith Easton was joined by the incredibly talented Yasmin Ellis from Yazband for a hauntingly beautiful rendition of Creep.

Honestly, it was one of those moments where the whole room just stops and listens. Absolutely stunning.

I think it really sums up open mics, just stopped us all in our tracks.

Have a listen. This one’s pretty special.

We’re hugely lucky to have Hull legend Paul Sargeson coming across the bridge to grace our ears with his Dorset tones this Friday!

Bit of a story with this one. My band played Polar Bear Music Club in Hull a while back and Sarge was doing sound for us (an exceptional job too, I might add). Not long after, he dropped me a message about coming to play Atlas.

When I finally got round to listening to his tracks, I was genuinely blown away. Absolutely not what I was expecting, in the best possible way. The music is ridiculously good, and we can’t wait to hear it in the room.

And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ve got Atlas family favourite Spencer Booth opening the night!

If you’ve not heard Spencer play yet, you really, really should. The lad is something else.

For anyone into jazz, funk, soul or just genuinely brilliant musicianship, I cannot stress this enough, this is a gig you do not want to miss.

Two incredible artists, right here in our little corner of Cleethorpes. We’re very lucky indeed.

We’ve had Beth Lauren at Atlas before, but last time it was a midday gig. Pretty much as soon as she started singing, we knew we’d got the timing wrong. She needed bumping up to the night.

Her voice is properly good. The first time I heard her live I remember thinking it genuinely sounded like someone had just put a record on.

Expect traditional jazz numbers mixed with funky, electro-swing jazz vibes, and an absolutely banging voice over the top.

So we’ve got her back, this time where she belongs, Sunday night at Atlas.

Come down and see her, she’s mega.

There was a little mistake lurking in the last poster, so here’s the proper one!

October at Atlas is looking frighteningly good. We’ve got Afro Beats, Tacos & Tunes, food pop-ups with Franksfurters joining us every weekend, tons of original live music, Open Mic nights, youth centre record label showcases, jazz, spoken word, an art exhibition and even a secret Paint & Sip night.

Basically, a bit of everything we love about Atlas, loads of different people doing loads of different creative things under one roof.

Then we’re seeing October out properly with two nights of spooky rock & roll for Halloween 👻

We’ve had loads of people asking when the next one is, so we’re thinking this might need to become an every Tuesday thing…?
