🤩MEET THE CAST🎸

Strap in and turn up the volume- Charlie Vaughan is ready to reminisce on the 'Days of Our Lives' in We Will Rock You!

Charlie has been performing from a young age and enjoys entertaining an audience whether on stage or on the big screen!

He last appeared for West Cliff Performers in their 2024 production of Rent as Benny and this time is excited to take the reins as Buddy in We Will Rock You! He has also recently performed for other local societies such as Clacton Musical Theatre Society in their 2024 production of Legally Blonde as Professor Callaghan and with CADS in their 2025 Production of 'The Good Life' as Tom Good- for which he was nominated by NETG for Best Actor! Charlie is currently working with CADS on their upcoming production of Blackadder!

Charlie's latest venture in film was appearing as Lewis Chin in the phenomenal locally written, filmed and produced "Tales of the Underworld"- written and produced by AG Longhurst. The film follows stories of the criminal underworld and premiered just last week on Monday 26th January at Century Cinema Clacton!

Charlie wanted to do this show in dedication to Carol and Hughie, and he hopes he puts as much of a smile on your face as the always did for him!

Strap in and turn up the volume- Helen Goffin is ready to take you over the 'Seven Seas of Rye' in We Will Rock You!

Helen has performed locally since the age of 6, first with the Princes Youth Theatre- where she previously performed in We Will Rock You- and then returned to the stage in 2024 with the West Cliff Performers for their production of Rent. In the following years she has performed for CMTS in their production of Legally Blonde and Rock of Ages and again with West Cliff Performers for their production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

Helen is looking forward to taking on the role of Khashoggi, not only because it's such a fun character to play, but it's also formerly been played by our patron Lee Mead- having that connection to our show and this character is awesome! She can't wait to take you over the Seven Seas of Rye!

Strap in and turn up the volume- Phoebe Wiggett is 'GUARANTEED TO BLOW YOUR MIND' as Killer Queen in We Will Rock You!

Phoebe has been a part of West Cliff Performers for 11 years now. This company is more than just theatre for her, it's become a family. She is so thankful for every opportunity this group has given her, and she's truly made some life long friends.

With such opportunities, she's also had the honour of winning two awards for her performances with the group. NETG award for Best Young Actress in 2017 for her role as Widow Corney in Oliver, and Best Actress in 2019 for her role as Adelaide in Guys and Dolls.

We Will Rock You is a show that will go down in history and she hopes that you all come and watch as she vanquishes the Bohemians and rules the iPlanet!

🤩MEET THE CAST🎸

Strap in and turn up the volume- Sam McCarthy wants IT ALL and he wants IT NOW (and by IT, he means YOU booking to see We Will Rock You 😉!)

Sam has been part of local amateur theatre in Clacton since 1996 when he made his debut as 'Much' in the Clacton Musical Theatre Society (then Clacton Amateur Operatic Society) Panto, 'Robin Hood'.

Sam has directed many shows for CMTS including 3 Musicals, 9 Pantomimes- including their Panto 'Robin Hood' (running THIS WEEK at the West Cliff Theatre)- 12 Youth Performers Musicals and many Concerts!

Sam has been nominated by the North Essex Theatre Guild (NETG) for 'Best Pantomime' for 'Cinderella' which he directed in 2019 and for 'Best Supporting Actor' as 'Mad Hatter' in 'Alice in Wonderland' in 2024.

Sam won a NODA award for the Pantomime 'Snow White' in 2023 which he directed, and for CMTS Youth Performers' 'Les Miserables: School Edition' which won 'Best Youth Production' in 2024.

This is Sam's second show with the West Cliff Performers after playing 'Peter' in last year's 'Jesus Christ Superstar'.

Sam is honoured to be playing 'Brit' and thanks his fellow cast for always being encouraging.

Strap in and turn up the volume — Lauren Nolan can't wait to find "Somebody To Love" in We Will Rock You at the West Cliff Theatre!

This is Lauren’s first performance with the West Cliff Performers, and she’s so excited to be joining the cast of We Will Rock You. She previously performed with Clacton Musical Theatre Society as Paulette in Legally Blonde and Sherrie in Rock of Ages. Lauren studied Musical Theatre at the Colchester Institute and has been dancing since the age of two and a half. She now teaches dance in a special school as well as to many pupils outside of school.

Alongside this, Lauren has appeared in several productions in Colchester, including The Little Mermaid, My Fair Lady, and Shrek The Musical. She can’t wait to bring Scaramouche to life and rock the stage in We Will Rock You! 🎸✨
