As many of you will now know, Toosey Arts & Crafts is closing and the space will soon be officially passed on to new ownership. I wanted to take a moment to say a personal thank you to everyone who has supported me on this incredible journey and new venture.
Opening Toosey was always a bit of a dream, and over the years it has given me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. From talented local artists and makers to customers who became friends, it has been an absolute pleasure to be part of such a creative and supportive community.
What started as a small idea quickly grew into something much bigger. The classes, workshops and local talent that came through the doors showed me just how much creativity there is within our village and surrounding area. One person who deserves a special mention is NIcole Stafford who began running jewellery classes at Toosey. They proved so popular and successful that when the opportunity arose for us to work together, it helped inspire the next step in the journey that became Artisan Alley.
Moving to Artisan Alley has allowed us to build on everything that Toosey stood for. We now have more than double the space, more opportunities to showcase local talent, and even more room for the workshops, classes and community events that we are so passionate about.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to Tara. Her support, encouragement and help behind the scenes have been invaluable, and without her, none of this would have been possible.
Although this chapter is coming to an end, the story certainly isn't. If you've enjoyed following Toosey, please come and follow Artisan Alley to keep up to date with everything we're doing, the fantastic local makers we support, and all the exciting classes and events we have planned for the future.
Thank you all for your support, your custom, your kindness and your friendship over the years. It has meant more than you will ever know.
Here's to new beginnings, bigger opportunities, and continuing to celebrate the amazing creativity within our community.
With love and gratitude,
