Art, Nature, and Communityl
At Fresh Air Sculpture, we believe in the power of contemporary art to heal, connect, and inspire. By offering a calm space filled with fresh country air and incredible outdoor sculpture, we partner with fantastic local organisations to support physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing through our Community Outreach and Wellbeing visits.

Last week, we welcomed 10 fantastic adult groups to the grounds, thoughtfully organised by Louise Russell, one of our Trustees. Our final morning included a lovely visit from the team in Fairford!

Providing a peaceful oasis away from the stresses of daily life is exactly why we love sharing these beautiful gardens. We support the work of fantastic local organisations such as Paradise House, the Nelson Trust, Root and Branch, Bridewell Organic Gardens, Working for Wellbeing (W4W Fairford) and Churn Community Hub.

Everyone loved the show and learned so much from our Curator, Stephanie Cushing’s brilliant guided tours. There were endless cups of tea and coffee, paired perfectly with famous chocolate brownies from in Fairford.

Many of our visitors are already planning return trips with their families and friends. We cannot wait to welcome you all back when the exhibition officially opens next Sunday!

It’s not the size of the gallery that counts, it’s what’s inside. As clearly demonstrated by, what must be one of the smallest galleries, which packs a big punch in the beautiful Wiltshire village of Aldbourne.

Gallery of the Giants the brainchild of Louisa Fitch, is a series of mini galleries bringing art to the people, on the street, in rural locations, outside schools and in places you’d never expect.

The latest mini gallery exhibition is an original portrait back on show by Edie Bound who you may remember was a Semi Finalist Winner of Series 12 of Portrait of the Year Award

Louisa said “It is a pleasure to support and champion such a wonderful and talented young artist. Nurturing and supporting young talent is hugely important and you can see some of the images of a previous exhibition by Sam Ulla Lindsay This was created as a travelling installation which moved along the Kennet and Avon canal as Sam moved her houseboat. It was part of her 6 week Touring Exhibition, Afloat, which she created for her MA final project.”

You can view the latest mini exhibition until the end of February, so if you’re near Aldbourne, near Marlborough in rural Wiltshire, take a selfie photo with the mini gallery and tag us. We’d love to share.

CALL OUT to Artists & Sculptors >> if you’d like to be featured in a mini gallery, Louisa would love to hear from you. Work needs to be huge in impact but small enough to fit inside this wonderful, small space. Please DM Louisa or contact her via the website www.galleryofthegiants.com

We’re delighted to introduce you to one of our new artists for the 2026 Fresh Air Sculpture exhibition, Anya Beaumont

Anya studied Fine Art (Sculpture) at Manchester School of Art and was awarded an MA with Distinction in Fine Art Theory and Practice from Middlesex University in 2004.

Anya Beaumont creates sculptural works from a wide range of materials, including waste plastic and discarded objects, and is particularly influenced by the applied arts, notably the baroque and rococo periods. Her work is often vivid in colour and intricate, with storytelling around the excesses in our material world.

Anya’s exhibition of art made out of plastic bottles and old toys was featured on BBC News, West of England in 2025. Anya said she was inspired by the “horror” of realising how much plastic was in her house and wanting to do something creative with it “rather than just chucking it in the recycling bin”.

Anya has also been involved with workshops in schools and hospitals to create community art. “Anya has held some brilliant sculpture workshops for our long-term patients, which as well as being part of their rehabilitation were a lot of fun! She also worked with the Staff and their families to create a beautiful recycled plastics tree which is now installed in one of the hospital gardens.” Vivienne Gordon - Arts Co-ordinator, National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Anya says “I am really happy that my three sculptures, Signal (red) Herald (yellow) and Tribute (blue) will be part of the final exhibition this summer. It’ll be my first time showing with Fresh Air Sculpture which is bittersweet as it is their last exhibition, but l am delighted nonetheless!”

Anya, we are really looking forward to meeting you and seeing your colourful work displayed in our gardens at The Old Rectory in Quenington next summer!
