of equipment, and even shop for the perfect musicians to guest on your song through the musician database all from the comfort of your own home! What a journey. Back in August 2023, I embarked upon an ambitious project; to build my very own recording studio in the garden. A truly tailored building that would reflect all of my favourite things about the studios I’ve worked in over the years. 10 months and a lot of hard graft later, here she is. The new site of HCH Studios, in Cirencester.

None of it could have been possible without the help and guidance first and foremost of who was only too happy to help me get the project off the ground and was invaluable in the build generally. A massive thanks also to my dad, & Lachlan Mclellan who all put in some hard graft and put up with my lack of prior planning but who all got me over the line. Special thanks to my wonderful wife who was in the trenches with me, especially in the final weeks, grouting at 1:30am in the dark 😫

It’s been a project that has pushed me to the brink at times, but holy moly was it ever worth it. It’s up and running, and I couldn’t be more happy with it.
