We work with families, schools, businesses, stag and hens, youth groups and individuals. We provide outdoor instructor training and provide amazing career opportunities. Follow to find out about our career and training opportunities. Our campsite opens to the public every summer. Mendip Activity Centre is based on a unique 250-acre site nestled in the heart of the Mendip Hills AONB. We're just 15 minutes from the M5 and Bristol Airport. We are fortunate to boast own rocksports quarry, indoor country Lodge, canvas accommodation, historic cave, target sport ranges, dry snowsports slope, an ancient woodland and rare, beautiful limestone grasslands. A short drive away is our own private watersports site, Hewish.

Our Snowsports Starter Weekend is back from Friday 23rd to Monday 26th October, with 30% off Try Skiing and Try Snowboarding lessons

Mendip Adventure has backed a Ten-Minute Rule Bill calling for the Government to support children’s mental health by increasing the amount of time they spend outdoors during the school day.

Introduced by Caroline Voaden MP, the Outdoor Education Bill proposes:
🌿 At least 30 minutes outdoors during each school day
🌿 At least one outdoor lesson each week
🌿 An outdoor education experience during both primary and secondary school years

At Mendip, we see what these opportunities can mean: a young person finding the confidence to try, a group learning to work together, or a child discovering an ability they hadn’t recognised in themselves.

These experiences can support young people’s mental health and wellbeing - and every child deserves access to them, whatever their background.

They’re experiences worth making room for!

We urge the Government to back the Bill and give schools the support to make outdoor learning a regular part of every child’s education.

Snowsports Starter Weekend is back! Your chance to try something new with family and friends.

30% off all Try Skiing and Try Snowboarding lessons from Friday 23rd to Monday 26th October ⛷️ Don't miss out - these sessions always sell fast!

These sessions are designed as the perfect introduction to snowsports, and are the first step towards Mendip’s popular Learn to Ski or Snowboard courses 🏂

And if you enjoyed your session, you can easily upgrade afterwards! Mendip will refund the money you spent on the taster session in full.

The BIG reveal. Adventure in full colour 🫟 We recently commissioned a brilliant mural artist to transform a dark stairwell at Mendip Activity Centre and we’re chuffed with the result!

It’s brought colour and character to the space, and it’s been a pleasure to support a local artist along the way 🎨

Last week, our Apprenticeship and Training Coordinator, Dave Sears, swapped the Mendip Hills for Westminster, heading to the Institution of Civil Engineers in London to represent Mendip as one of the UK’s Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers 🤩🏆

We’re incredibly proud to be the only Travel & Tourism business and only outdoor activity provider in the Top 50!

It was brilliant to celebrate alongside apprenticeship employers from so many different sectors and industries.

For over 30 years, we’ve helped people take their first steps into careers in the outdoors - including our own CEO, David Eddins, who started his Mendip journey as an apprentice.

A huge moment for Team Mendip! 💙
