It’s taken a step back to realise what I really want from this business. And as a Christian, I believe that we should be blessing others and giving a part of ourselves to others.
Just as the Beatitudes which Jesus told us to live by say: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” [Matthew 5:9]
On this Sunday, it will have been over a year since the war in Ukraine started, 2 weeks since the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, and many more people will have become in need who haven’t been in the news. These people need a certain peace - peace from God.
So my prayer is that this business centres around peace.
Soap is something so simple that, whether we use it in the bath, or even when we’re washing our hands, it gives us a moment to pause. A moment of peace. But I thought better than that - using soap as a way to bless others. Each soap that I sell, an amount of the profit will go towards helping another person in need.
