Me right now, the absolute definition of modern art. Currently sat in my pit, feeling QUITE unwell. All my gallstone girlies know, amiright?

Sat here, putting together my round up for May and marvelling at how much I have packed in this month, I wanna be transparent that things aren’t always so exciting (lucky and blessed to have months like this but mindful that my spoons are limited and currently, I am TAPPED OUT)

Love & light, kids. Rest when you need it 💖🌸🥄

APRIL 2026 ROUND UP

Mixed bag, honestly. Went out for a lovely lunch with family, but was also told by my surgeon, that she is gonna take my gallbladder out with her hands 🤷‍♀️

To distract myself from the impending organ removal, we did some nature stuff. It involved touring Chorley market, passeggiata at Yarrow Valley, and visiting the wonderful for a dairy fix. Grateful the sun is back and grateful I have people in my life who wanna celebrate that with me ☀️

As you can probably tell from image 3, I found a favourite dish. Making it again tomorrow morning, YOU CAN’T STOP ME. Anything shakshuka related, avo toast, with egg, parsley, and various versions of sourdough, SIGN ME UP BABY. Place your bets on how long it will take for this meal to knock me sick, we all know it’s coming. Until then… I AM LOCKED AND LOADED WITH MY READY RIPES 🥑

April was wrapped in rays and gratitude, fuelled by love and sunshine (and 2 jars of crispy chilli oil) 🌶️❤️

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAISYYYYY 🎀🤍🌸

Six years into illustration girly life, still absolutely clueless, still obsessed with all things pink and still trying to build a little biz that keeps my cat in the luxury she one billion percent deserves.

I have had some absolutely incredible opportunities over the past six years, made some electric connections and learnt so much along the way.

Do I have any idea what I am doing? Umm.. no. I actually don’t, but I’m happy and I’m still going.

Thank you to YOU for being here and for making this all worth it. YOU are incredible 💗💗💗💗

MARCH 2026 ROUND UP

Girlies. Let’s hold hands. March was heavy. Beautiful, and joyful at times, but heavy.

First of all, that’s honour Patricia, together 🤍 this month, we laid my lovely Nana to rest. What an incredibly emotional day. Half way through the funeral ceremony, we noticed a ladybird on my Uncle’s arm. She sat on my hand for prayers and hymns, before flying away when we left. I will forever be looking for her with the ladybirds 🐞

I also FINALLY got to see Greg Davies! I booked these tickets a lonnnnng time ago, and I managed to bag myself a front row seat! Before my best friend passed away, we promised we would stop flaking on plans and if Greg went on tour again, we would just go, no hesitation. So whilst he was incredibly funny, and being back in Newcastle was glorious, I’d have given anything to be there with you Clare 🌈

From Newcastle, I hopped on a train to Edinburgh to meet my man! My first time in Scotland. Immediately fell in love. Went to the with my love, got AutoWed and took pics in the shadow of Edinburgh castle. Food, drink, vibe, I loved it all.

Lots of posh people though (keep in mind I live in Blackpool, and I’d just come from Newcastle, I’m used to seeing barely dressed baddies with spray tans, chowing down on their cheesy garlic breads, but in Edinburgh, the girls wore floor length silk dresses, like formal dance ones, and got bottles of water and brown bread sandwiches from Co-Op at the end of their night… that’s money).

This months small win:
I had my first ever matcha at … life changing 🍵
