Sometimes the words don’t come.
Or it feels like they’ve gone completely.

This was written in one of those moments —
when everything felt still, quiet, empty.

But even then… something small remained.
A flicker. A movement.

And eventually —
the ink flowed.

I think this is self explanatory... I wrote this sitting in the car after I arrived at work this morning.

************

It was a dream.
Hands clung desperately
To a clock
Winding backwards.
Gentle, strong hands
Held him, pulled him,
A woman's hands.
Time loosened.
His grip loosened.
She turned him
To smile at the
Eyes he had forgotten.
He found himself
Smiling back,
The passion he'd felt
Burst from his heart
To her. In waves
Of pure love.
She smiled.
And let him go.
He smiled back
As she drifted away.
The clock slowed,
Paused,
And began to tick forward.
He let her go.

Frost melting, birds waking, the world moving on.
Some mornings you just sit, listen, and remember.

Here I am in Celebrant mode. I cannot wait to be leading Ceremonies and having the honour of helping people celebrate their love.

Love is all.

I am taking a break from social media for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for following and giving me encouragement.

In a world that measures worth by what we own, this poem is a quiet reminder of what truly matters.

Books, coins, clothes and water are all valuable in their way but nothing compares to the gift we give when we give time.

Time shared. Time offered. Time loved into existence.

This poem reminds me to cherish the time I have. My book Moments in Time, a collection about love, loss, and the unseen things that hold us together, reminds me also.

If these words resonate, you’ll find many more like them waiting there. 🤍
