My for the last day of 2021. You see photos of products with (relatively 😅) good lighting, put in scene. But for me they also represent stories of this year.
First of all I want to thank everyone for their support this year - whether it was a purchase, share, like, advice, subscribe or whatever else.
Business-wise, I had a great first full year. Went to markets, released loads of new products (even washi tape), had fun with reels, learned so much, and had great sales for my level throughout the year.
You wouldn’t know from my Instagram feed that I actually also had a really rough year. I had skin cancer found on and removed from my skin which caused a lot of anxiety and stopped me from moving much for several months, I was very close to losing my full time job (due to things beyond my control) and lost many great colleagues, and like many spent much of 2021 isolated or cancelling plans to see family. My mental health went from alright to not great. Some good and some great things also happened, which I am grateful for. I’m glad I got to celebrate people important to me and to continue having them in my life.
You never know what goes on behind the scenes - Instagram, especially a business or ‘influencer’ Instagram account, only show you a tiny snippet of someone’s life. If your business or personal life didn’t go like you wanted it to, don’t compare yourself to the carefully curated grid of others. Don’t put the pressure of new year’s resolutions etc on you if you can’t cope with them right now.
Just go with the flow and put your best foot forward. I will be rooting for you 💪🏼
