It’s the start of a new term, and I’ve had lots of new followers recently (hi! šŸ˜) so I thought a reminder of where you can sing with me was in order! September is such a great time to try something new. Maybe you’re pregnant and looking for a lovely way to slow down for a while. Maybe you have a baby and want to find somewhere to socialise for them and you. Maybe you have a child starting school and you could do with finding something special just for you with other people who get it. Maybe you’re watching your child go off to university for the first time and have time for yourself in a different way. Maybe you love children but don’t have your own. Whatever your story, all women are welcome at Singjng Mamas.

Imagine taking the time to carve out 90 minutes of you time that releases endorphins, eases stress, gives you the opportunity to make new friends AND includes eating cake! Singing Mamas does exactly that, whether you sing like an angel or croak like a frog! Come as you are and do something for you.

We are back this week - 2nd September at Tree Thyme in Charlton near Malmesbury and 4th September in Kington St. Michael outside Chippenham. We start at 9.30 (after some of the group have dropped children off at school), sing for an hour and then have some homemade cake and a cuppa.

If you want to find out more drop me a message, I’d love to hear from you!

I feel like I exist in a state of overwhelm at the moment, and I think it’s fair to say that I arrived at yesterday’s final summer session in a less than tranquil state of mind. Yet again the songs and the circle were the medicine I needed. Thank you to everyone who came and sang with me 🧔

What an incredible Singing Mamas session we had yesterday at Kington St Michael village hall! I was so excited to welcome some women who are brand new to this awesome movement of singing for wellbeing, some who’d come for the 1st time last time, some who’d been singing with me since I started in January and many in between! We had women from Chippenham, Corsham, Calne, Malmesbury and as far as Cricklade! We sang some slow and pensive songs mixed in with some more upbeat ones. Here’s a little glimpse of one I’d never led before and the women with me had never sung before and it sounds pretty darn good if you ask me!!

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day down on Portland with and .singingmamas.dorset 🄰 2 hours of gorgeous singing at followed by more singing with some swimming at Chesil Beach. Every moment was absolute perfection. Not only do these songs bring me so much happiness, but they also connect me with some truly beautiful humans.

And tomorrow is my 2nd summer session! Song upon song 🧔🧔🧔

Walking the talk, even on holiday!

We went to this week - the 1st time we’ve been away from home since last August and a mega week of fun to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary 🄰 But it definitely took its toll on us all in different ways, and this afternoon I found myself calming my littlest one down by singing this beautiful lullaby for about 20 minutes nonstop. He was desperate to sleep but it took ages for him to drop off, then when I put him in the pushchair he woke up and was even more upset than before. Every mama’s nap time nightmare šŸ™ˆ I realised about 10 minutes into singing this gorgeous Norwegian lullaby that Singing Mamas is absolutely part of the fabric of our lives and for that I am so grateful 🧔

Oh what a morning we had in Kington St. Michael šŸ˜ Thank you so much to everyone who came along to the first of my summer sessions. We’ll be back again on 14th August for the next one and I already can’t wait!

If you live in Chippenham, Corsham, Malmesbury, Lyneham, Royal Wootton Bassett or anywhere else nearby you would be so welcome to join us 🧔

I think Singing Mamas is amazing, but I’m pretty biased šŸ˜„ So I thought it time to share some of the gorgeous feedback I’ve had from some of my mamas 🄰 I am so grateful for every moment we’ve shared with each other since I started these groups in January and so humbled to have read these kind words. It doesn’t matter where you’re coming from, whether you arrive with joy or a heavy heart, the songs work their magic, the community holds you safe and soul medicine is administered. What an honour to be able to lead these phenomenal women in song, many of whom say they’re not singers!

Mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, friends, nannies, childminders … all women are welcome in our circle. If you’ve been wondering about giving singing for wellbeing a try then you are so warmly welcome to join us. The 1st summer session is this Friday (31st July), and I’m looking forward to seeing people from both my groups come together for the first time, as well as a lovely group of new women too! Use the link in my bio to book for this week or any other when you are available, and remember that if you are 36+ weeks pregnant then you can come along for free - just drop me a message. We’re only meeting at Kington St. Michael near Chippenham during the summer holidays but will be back at Tree Thyme in Charlton near Malmesbury in September 🧔

I got this exciting delivery of Oatly individual cartons today because a cuppa and cake is so integral to the Singing Mamas experience! Whether you’re vegan, breastfeeding a baby with CMPA or just prefer oat milk, I love that you can now guarantee a cup of tea or coffee just the way you like it, without the waste of buying a big carton and it not being used up.

When you sign up to come to a session I’ll send you a registration form, and there’s a dedicated space to find out what would make the it most comfortable for you because it’s not a gimmick - everyone is welcome just as they are.
