The Drama School at Dramatic Arts Studio is dedicated to excellence in the skills of Speech and Drama and Musical Theatre. The acting classes are conducted by Kim Gilbert, who is an examiner for LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art). In addition, Kim's teaching methods lead to an an overall improvement in her students self-confidence, and enables them to develop general communication and conversation skills (which are so important in everyday life), as well as enhancing all aspects of literacy. At Dramatic Arts Studio we offer a range of drama classes leading to graded LAMDA examinations (the UK’s leading statutory speech and drama awarding organization) in communication and performance subjects. Tuition is available at all grades, for all ages and abilities from a range of various related disciplines e.g Acting, Voice, Verse & Prose, Public Speaking, Reading for Performance, Musical Theatre, Shakespeare & Audition techniques. Dramatic Arts Studio offers quality, individually based programmes and only employs experienced, CRB checked and well-qualified staff. We are not a franchise. Annual entry in the British Federation of Festivals is encouraged in neighbouring Bristol, Bath and Wootton Bassett. Coaching for drama school entrance or local theatre auditions is also available by appointment.
