What does it mean to carry a homeland within the heart? 🤍

Shamsia Hassani’s Nowadays #05 is a quietly powerful reflection on exile, memory, and the fragile feeling of belonging to a homeland carried within the heart.

Her signature female walks barefoot past a city remembered in outline. A fractured line is held together with plasters. Dandelion seeds drift through uncertain air.

Through these delicate details, Shamsia Hassani gives visual form to displacement, repair, and inner resilience, creating one of her most affecting meditations on what it means to carry home within oneself. 🤍

Nowadays #05 can be viewed at GraffitiStreet Gallery in Chichester, with worldwide shipping available.

Bordalo II’s animals are unforgettable at first sight, but their real force lies beneath the surface.

Built from discarded plastics, tyres, bumpers, scrap metal and urban debris, his Big Trash Animals transform waste into wildlife, beauty into warning, and public art into ecological memory. From the camouflaged forms of his Neutral works to the exposed material language of the Plastic series, Bordalo II asks us to look again at what we throw away, what we value, and what our habits leave behind.

Our latest GraffitiStreet feature looks beyond the spectacle of the animals to explore the recurring themes that define his practice: consumer culture, overproduction, habitat destruction, public space and the fragile relationship between modern life and the natural world.

Bordalo II’s art begins with a striking contradiction: the beauty of the natural world rebuilt from the debris of human excess. The Portuguese contemporary artist, born Artur Bordalo in Lisbon in 1987, is internationally recognised for his large-scale animal sculptures made from discarded materia

✨ Happy 100th Birthday, Marilyn Monroe ✨

One hundred years after her birth, Marilyn Monroe remains one of the most influential and reimagined figures in art history.

From Andy Warhol's iconic Pop Art portraits to contemporary interpretations by D*Face, Invader, Sandra Chevrier, and Pure Evil, artists continue to revisit Monroe's image through new visual languages and cultural perspectives.

Perhaps that is her greatest legacy. More than a Hollywood star, Monroe became a symbol of ambition, independence, resilience, and reinvention.

In our latest feature, we explore how some of today's most celebrated contemporary artists have reinterpreted Monroe's image and why she remains one of the most enduring muses in modern art.

The working fabric of society, seen through the eyes of Portuguese artist Restless. From the suburbs of Lisbon to collectors worldwide, his sculptures celebrate the characters who make up our everyday world. The worker. The commuter. The figure caught between human labour and the technologies reshaping it.

Restless has spent years building this cast. The subject stays the same: contemporary identity, labour, technology, and the quiet ways we connect.

Featuring Tech Guy & CP210 (A.I. Generated)

Both works reflect Restless’ ongoing exploration of contemporary identity, labour, technology, and human connection through his instantly recognisable sculptural characters.

Available through GraffitiStreet Gallery, online and in person at our Chichester location. Only one of each is available.

Which of these characters will define the next decade?

Across cities worldwide, walls have started looking like portals. Painted, not projected. Architectural in their geometry, organic in their motion.

They are the work of Douglas Hoekzema, the Miami-based artist who paints under the name HoxxoH.

Trained in architecture before turning to street art, he has spent over a decade developing a hypnotic visual language that blends graffiti, abstraction, and optical illusion at the scale of a building.

“It’s a portal, vortex, worm hole, gateway, star gate,” Hoxxoh has said of the work.

Each one painted by hand, layered until the surface appears to move. From a distance, a vortex. Up close, a system of lines. Some artworks are made to be looked at. His are made to be stepped into.

Which of his portals would you want to stand inside?

Artwork by Bordalo II on display at GraffitiStreet Gallery

Inspired by the spring equinox, the fleeting moment when day and night fall into perfect balance 🌗, Urban Equinox explores ideas of tension, harmony, and contrast within contemporary street art.

Bringing together street artists from across the world 🌍, the exhibition reveals visual languages in which opposites exist side by side. 🌿 Nature emerges across concrete walls. 🎨 Control meets chaos. 🔍 The overlooked returns to focus. Fragility and strength appear within the same frame.

Each artist holds these shifting tensions within their practice, creating works in which balance feels alive, momentary, and in constant motion 🔄, echoing the changing rhythms of the city 🏙️.

Featuring original works by Bordalo II (Portugal) · Enivo (Brazil) · HOXXOH (USA) · Hua Tunan (China) · Joachim Lambrechts (Belgium) · My Dog Sighs (United Kingdom) · NeSpoon (Poland) · Nean Kingdom (Belgium) · Renato Hunto (Italy) · Restless (Portugal) · Roamcouch (Japan) · Shamsia Hassani (Afghanistan) · SNIK (UK) · Sonny Sundancer (UK / South Africa) · Sophie Mess (UK) · Spidertag (Spain), alongside limited editions by Banksy, Stik and Invader.
